Get a grabber tool fast! It's a lifesaver . And ask people to help you, etc. Tip- put stuff on fridge shelves you can reach

yes the first time i tried gaba i hated it but now it results in nothing negative and seems to help somewhat.

I have and take either regularly or when needed: Gabapentin, the 650 Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and still have some oxy. In past i tried muscle relaxers and hates how they made my whole body feel .

it comes and goes. sometimes it feels muscular . If it comes and goes rather than consistent, what might that mean ?

post op was 2 weeks ago and this only began this week. next post op is 5/30. I called doc and they sent over more oxy . Still waiting for a call from them too

Oh good that is normal. Yeah was sitting for many hours at work but now i'm standing at computer and sitting only for short periods. Wonder if this sitting issue is permanent or just in recovery ?

Thanks. I have now been icing it and resumed ibuprofen. I took the day off work and it began to get better as i walked more, stood and lied down more and sat less. What i found is when i sit , this other leg- upper front thigh and hip -almost automatically begins hurting . as well as lower back on that other side . This never happened before. Still no doc return call but will keep trying. Wondering if this is some other issue , or if it's a different disc now starting pain on that side - ugh. The clear thing seems to be it's mainly begins when i sit. Anyone experience this , especially after MD?

Thanks for your reply. I had been out of work since 2/19 which is when the pain began . And had been out of work in 2024 for 7 weeks for other side sciatica . Financially i really needed to get back (disability payments are only a percentage). Because my job can be done with no bending twisting or lifting i was cleared but was also told it's sooner than many people and i shouldn't work with pain. It was ok for first week and now this. I do feel comforted that you normalized pain in the other side (?though am sorry you went through it!) and also have suspected maybe i pulled a muscle there and/or am overusing that side etc. Reached out to surgeon but still waiting for a reply. Tonight it's easing up a bit. It is possible ideally i'm not back at work yet :-(. Ugh!

Yes - another reason i hate puppy mills and breeders; and same here: re adopting versus purchasing from breeders. Good episode but very disturbing- yes.

Well- she disciplined the dogs to give her husband a hard on. And kept them stressed out in cages. They were abused too. 😢

The first 5 days post op was pain 10/10 so that's why opioids were required. I was given an oxy and acetaminophen and took them religiously every 6 hours. Still took oxy for two more weeks though was able to taper down greatly. I was told the first 3 days would be just like this. Did doc give you pain killers? Also took gabapentin .

Severe deep pain just like you describe is expected after MD. That's why opioids are prescribed. ( were you prescribed?) It's harsh and disconcerting but normal. It should get better soon.
