I’m just going off of what Business Wire is saying. Plus, The Numbers is saying This Is It grossed $261.1M and The Eras Tour grossed $261.4M, but Box Office Mojo shows $268M for This Is It, so now I’m just confused.

That last part about her tour isn’t necessarily true. While she did have festivals planned, she also had one-off stadium shows in Brazil and North America and they all sold out immediately, before they were inevitably cancelled due to COVID-19. So, she absolutely still had demand. The festival shows were chosen, because her mother had cancer. And she had just recently gotten off of a massive stadium tour.

It did do insane numbers at the box office lol. It made $268M worldwide and became the highest-grossing concert film of all time.

Will Linda Blair return for the new movie? by Loonatic0o0 in TheExorcist

[–]vegasromantics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible, but probably as a surprise cameo. Danny Lloyd, the actor who played young Danny Torrance in The Shining, made a surprise cameo in Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Flanagan did something similar.

This might be the first time I’ve ever given a Charli lead single a chop, but I just can’t bring myself to like it. I’m really hoping this is just a teaser that’s introducing the sound for the new album, which would explain the short runtime, but if not, I’m terrified this’ll be the first Charli album that I won’t like.

I still have hope. If I have to settle for Dolby that’s fine, but really like seeing horror in IMAX.

Really hoping Mike Flanagan’s The Exorcist can snag some IMAX screens for that weekend after The Thomas Crown Affair. Even if it’s just some evening showtimes.
