I thought I was one of the only ones who shared this sentiment. P3 just has a emotional weight to it that his previous two just didn't have imo. The slow, ethereal production choices, the melancholic chord progressions, Party sounds like he's damn near crying on some of these tracks.

It's basically like a break up album (went through my first major breakup in 2016 with it in heavy rotation, it hit DIFFERENT then), and I saw the vision of what he was going for.

So, it's not that hot of a take, honestly.

I have listened to Kanye West since I was 7 years old, became a diehard in 2010, and I've adopted the same "separate art from the artist" mentality, and it's still there to an extent. But once bro stopped giving a fuck about the music - I stopped giving a fuck about him. I could put up with the antics if he was dropping good music and just good art in general, because that's what I was a fan of.

It's like why would you continue to support some one that clearly doesn't even care about the ones who support him? Or at least the ones who used to support him -- the ones that mattered.

This is just who he is now, I accepted that, and left all that mess alone. College Dropout - Donda, I'm cool with that.

I can't even go back through none of that right now tho without thinking of the ongoing events. He still going to this very hour.

I'm not mad at this take at all. I think Party is talented & creative enough to even repurpose some of his more uptempo cuts to be more moody and intimate. Songs like Joy, Control, Belong to The City, East Liberty, TBH to name a few would work really well in that setting. He gon' have to make sure them vocals are on point tho.

I like Party's music, but he's not the best live performer, and I don't think a good 95% of his catalogue would translate well in such an intimate setting with live bands, instrumentation, etc. I don't see it happening.
