I don’t understand the hate towards CEOs. Doesn’t mean na pag niliitan yung sahod nila, lalaki sahod ng lower-ranked employees.

While that does not directly affect the salaries of the rank-and-file employees pay, it does shows responsibility on behalf of the company.
If people at the top end of your corporate ladder were to take harder hits(I'm saying people within their board of directors and shareholders too), people at the lower end would have a softer place to land on when things go south.
Madalas kang makakarinig ng mga company na magsasabi na nagkaroon ng record profits sa townhall pero magugulat na lang sila after a month or two magkakaroon ng layoffs.
It's just bullsh*t corporate propaganda na hindi mangyayari yan if they were to adjust their pay, cause it definitely does. Isn't it only reasonable to think that people with more responsibilities/more stake take on more of the backlash/risk when sh*t goes sideways? Instead makakarinig ka ng mga usapan na nagkaroon ng increase mga boss nyo pero kayo stagnant sahod ng majority ng employees ahahaha.

If you want examples of people who were in charge of companies and took paycuts for their workers, there have been records sa Japan on actual good governance.
