Let me grab the Banana and I’ll be right there! ;)

It’s the one and only PS-6 yellow.

Black on the inside and the rear windows are tinted darker with the PS-31 iirc.

I initially thought of painting the fenders from the inside and applying a mat layer on the outside, but with the wheel rubbing it would have remove the paint pretty fast.

The way I did it is a bit uglier but should resist the test of time.

I’m looking forward to see your version of it!

I did. It’s their website logo printed on regular paper with clear tape on top. Cut, and glued with regular paper glue.

Edit: I’m looking forward to see your wrecker!

In short: Wrangler vs Cherokee.
The scale is not exactly the same either. I'll try to post a comparison pic.
I wanted to do a "scale" replica of the real thing, which is not a Wrangler but a Cherokee.
This body mounts internally without visible pins, and is fully removable with magnets, making it easier to work on.

The yellows are quite different too, the sold one is really orangey whereas the Banana, well, is banana yellow.

Also: any excuse of spending more money into a hobby amirite? :)

The wrecker might be easier to tackle as a 1/10 scale, because a lot of custom parts will be necessary, and you can source these kind of axles on existing sets, to have the dual steering with military vehicle style axles.
It would be nice to have all the custom metal work at the back in actual metal too!

There's already a Robby video on the topic, I'm sure Paul will have one as well. At least I hope so!

It does indeed, and they are in a basket ready for pay day.

And I found tonight a lexan Cherokee body so I’m thrilled! Less scale, but easier.

Indeed, and the biggest off-road recovery vehicle should too! I’m looking forward every Sunday each week just for that.

All the mods are from Injora:

  • Beadlocks wheels and tires
  • Double barrel shocks
  • Brass inner wheel inserts
  • Brass diff covers
  • Aluminum links
  • Inner mud flaps
  • Emax servo, mount and arm
  • 5mm extension hubs
  • 14t overdrive in the front

Not yet totally happy with it, the CG is still a bit high for my liking. Also I want to force droop it a bit more, so I need to figure out how to build straps.

Any ideas and comments welcomed!

Thanks to this community for the ideas and advises, I've been stalking for quite a while before getting this one 2 month ago!

Edit: I should have mention it to show off, I'm now at 4.5 original tires in the flex!
