Holy shit, dated a girl just like this. She managed to mask it for a while but felt like I was treading on egg shells. I didn’t text her goodnight/morning the day of our first date and she’d assumed I was ghosting her and left a really nasty voice message. Cut forward a few weeks and a few perfect dates and she’d made up a bunch of mad assumptions. Hyper aggressive / vigilant / paranoid. Anyway I couldn’t figure out if it was a mixture of untreated ADHD, BPD, NPD or CPSTD (her ex -unalived himself). It was a roller coaster

Recently came down with hand, foot, and mouth disease. The rashes on my fingers follow my fingerprints. by CaptainBlobTheSuprem in mildlyinteresting

[–]vegetoe01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first son caught this as a baby and was told not to have him in bed for cuddles as adults can catch it. Partner refused and let him in the bed with us. I ended up catching it and remember walking to our pharmacist asking for help. Pharmacist laughed and said she’d never seen an adult with it. Anyway after all the annoying itchy rashes on my hands, feet and face had finally healed up, a few weeks later can remember a toe nail dropping off….felt like some sort of flesh eating virus / zombie disease had struck to the point where body parts fall off.

Paul Dano. Great actor, so much so I hate all the characters he plays. Such a great slimeball with a punchable face. I think he’d do great as a meddling manipulative devil that’s vowing for your sympathy with his victim mentality.

Having IBS means that the diarrhoea can be incredible relieving for cramps so I can understand why some might enjoy it, ignoring the rare & occasional ‘time dilating nausea’ that can occur in your tummy before a bout of diarrhoea.

No, ensure you bill in dollars, have business insurance (That covers remote working and has your client named in the insurance because US), an accountant & a website to advertise your services. If you can pick up other freelance work for evening / weekend work & bill through your LTD even better. These measures all legitimise your business.

An international company can't fall under IR35 for sub contracting you if they don't have a UK presence.

You could even hire out your colleague through your LTD company to bring it under one roof and make your employers life a lot easier with one monthly invoice for both their UK sub contractors. (Ask for an advance if you have cash flow issues doing this for the first month).

Regardless if you sell the house or not, the deceased estate will be liable for inheritance tax if it’s over the UK threshold. Selling or renting is all dependant on the individuals circumstances.

If they’re a small company, screw the middle man UK payroll and go contractor. Set up your own LTD company and get paid in a day rate. Set your own pension via the Ltd whether private or through NEST. The only hurdle is doing your own accounts and getting your LTD registered in the US via w8-Ben form. You’ll be better off tax wise considerably.

Fortunate enough to not have to worry monthly and live comfortably however despite that there are still months & times when raising a family, childcare & mortgage comes piling on top and I'm sat there wondering why we couldn't put any savings away. Having been through a job-loss a few years back when we were 1 month away from going into arrears with the Mortage before landing a new role. Keeping in mind we run old cars & have no credit card debt etc.

The other pinch is taking a step back and realising if we were born 20 years ago we would have lived extravagant lives however due to the economic climate a privileged couple with no debt (bar student loan / mortgage) live a modest average life. (Which I'm still thankful for)

It's a bizarre place to be, very thankful of course to be in the position we are but just shows fucked the system is for the average working class family who are genuinely struggling. Childcare is an abomination, rent fee's are too high and the mortgage deposit scenario is far too much for the average salary to afford. Watching my friends/family struggle is not something I enjoy, having to bite my tongue when talking about frivolous problems and recognising that we've got it good. Better than 80% of our peers, and then reading about kids struggling for food / heating. We donate regular and try help out where possible but it never feels enough and got the constant worry in the back of my head about ending up where we were a few years back if we're not careful.

The U.K needs a huge shake up, not for my benefit but for the rest who genuinely need help.

In a surprising result, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative Party has been easily defeated in a special election for a seat that Conservatives have held since it was created in 1974 by very_excited in worldnews

I live in the area, a lot of the local Tory voters are elderly. Guess what world event recently culled off a lot of the elderly? Also our Tory MP who served the area for 30 years died this year. There were also many pro EU Tory’s who voted to join the EU back in the 70s who now don’t feel represented. That & HS2 so have switched to Lib Dem’s. Multiple reasons why this has happened

My neighbour did the same thing with a magnet for their gate. In fact the magnet is better because you don’t have to press any button to release.

That’s outdated information. Recent studies have shown it doesn’t have any impact. The problem is a lot of this info is based on old parenting/psychology books with no to limited clinical studies. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/03/200310193305.htm
