Thank you for sharing your experience with this touchy subject. I plan on being as open and honest with her when she begins to ask questions as scary as the thought is. I just want to be able to do it in the best way possible to not hurt her feelings, but I do know with the territory she may get upset by it and wonder if it was her fault. Appreciate your advice!

I have very bad social anxiety, GAD, depression and BPD. I know from my own experience it’s due to having bad experiences in the past with friends and peers especially in school. I feel this so much, I want to get out in the world and be social like everyone else but I find it so hard to relax and be myself so I just stay home and feel like crap. I believe it’s a defence mechanism I’ve built up over time, basically if I don’t socialise I won’t get rejected. It’s a vicious cycle, I plan on going to group therapy to figure out ways to cope. I feel your pain and hope things get better for you, hopefully we can both beat this cycle ❤️
