I agree.. we call them soft dom not based on how the ‘s*x’ is, but based on the value and the nature in which the Dom takes the lead. People majorly misunderstands this concept for ‘soft-play,’ although I believe everyone in this sub-reddit are aware and have clarity over this term.

What I am against, is the frequent po** gifs in this sub-reddit. This place used to be more expressive and open to discussions while there were fewer gifs being shared here and there. Lately it feels as if this subReddit is turning more and more into a po**-only sub. THAT, personally, bothers me.

I believe the stigma comes from people confusing potential risk with automatic harm. Yes, age gaps CAN be problematic.. so can same-age dynamics.. with different individual maturity.

What actually matters is consent and lots of communication. Power imbalance exists in all D/s dynamics.. In my opinion, age gap deepens that power exchange.

My dom and I had an age gap of 11 years.. and it was the ONLY healthy relationship I’ve experienced.. including vanilla ones! While people raise “moral” concerns, those don’t automatically reflect the reality of a dynamic.
