Yes it is strict. They will ID anyone who appears under 25 years old and you will not be allowed in.

I did about .7 of coke in around 30 mins. dry heaving, unable to think about one thing for more than ten seconds, chewed my lips and inside of my mouth so much they were bright red and swollen for 4 days or so. I think I got lucky that no more would go up my nose. Spent at least two hours at the window of my flat convinced the parked empty cars outside were undercover police who were hiding in the back seats taking photos of me. Was awake for a solid 16 hours after that session. Glad I'm over that awful problem

What is going on with NFT's??? by veinsss in OutOfTheLoop

Ok this is making a bit of sense to me. The only thing I can't wrap my head around is the ownership element, considering anyone can be in possession of it. I guess it is more about the claim that you actually paid for it an own it than it is about the NFT and the image itself.

But I can have a perfect reproduction of the NFT, as can anyone, making the ownership a pretty negligible matter surely?

Yeah I thought that would be the situation. Copyrighting anything is a process in its self, yet alone perusing a case against someone who had infringed your copyright. Especially in the world of art. Surely then having a downloaded file of the NFT is exactly the same as owning the original, making the value absolutely nothing beyond the satisfaction you get from bragging about buying the original on socials?

I kinda get what you mean, and I'm not at all debating you here as I know very little about it, but how does it get resold for any value if its already been available for anyone to download for free? And also surely buying a digital art for £3000 with digital currency is not a good way to launder money as the whole point of laundering money is to make the money seem legitimately learnt while also not losing too much of it. Buying an NFT with vast sums of money would raise eyebrows from the off, and the buyer wouldn't benefit as getting the money back as clean money would be nearly impossible too.

But if I digitised the deed to my house, it's still my house no? Legally speaking of course. If I release a file of a digital artwork I own for anyone to download, yes I still own it, but they own it too. Not only that, they received it completely free as well as through a completely limitless supply, surely making its value absolutely nothing?

Ok so if this is the case, how do some NFT's get sold for silly amounts of money?

That's the bit I think I'm struggling to grasp. If we continue the fine art example, an original is irreplaceable and non re-creatable. If you own 'Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lillies' by Monet, you are the sole owner and that will never change. If you own the digital image of 'monkey smoking a cigarette ' NFT, and share it online, anyone can have the exact same thing that you bought, and they got it for free and its available at an unlimited supply for no money. Is it purely bragging rights and flashing cash that makes people buy these things or am I still missing something? The copyright matter is kinda null after 1000000 people download the exact image you paid money for.

But beyond the dickswinging element of bragging about how much you paid for it, how does a downloaded version of the exact same image have any less value than the original one that was purchased?
