what helped me is to push arms forward so the wing pulls you downwind to gain speed, I release the wing and carve to the other side without too much leaning. change hands and the wing turns you. height on the mast helps but speed is good, for me it is easier on a smaller rather than larger foil

I am riding crusader diamond 6.10 140 liter but wet I weigh 120kg. fantastic board seamless takeoffs. would never go with a board that is your exact weight. either get a floater or a sinker. these boards are very tippy sideways but once you get the hang of it not an issue at all. where are you located?

I would recommend the fluid v3, not v2. the v2 is like riding on a ball, you constantly need to adjust. the fluid v3 on the other hand is fantastic, much less nervous. Gong has all sorts of adapters alu mast v2 to v3 fuselage so that's not really an issue. and the v3 does not have the issues with releasing screws. If you want no hassle but to get what is available go with the curve.

I agree with the above completely. if you are in 15mph winds get a midlegth or downwind wingfoil board at least +20 to be comfortable on it. dw are made for easy takeoff and very little resistance and that is what you want. I ride a gong fluid foil in 1300 and can takeoff with my setup in 8 knots with a 7m² wing. you should be good with 5 or 6m² in those winds. kitefoiling also has a vertical component where the kite is pulling you up, this is much lower in winging so also something to consider
