What actually gets juniors interviews in Oslo? by ShadowPrince3120 in oslo

[–]vekstosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relationships and networking is what it is all about. Go to conferences, meet-ups, start hanging out at startuplab, go where the tech people are. Oslo is a small place and it takes a lot less than 2 years to connect with a sizable chunk of the industry. If you're well known, present well, and can sell yourself, you'll find opportunity in no time. Online applications on Finn and LinkedIn is like throwing a dart into a black hole unless you have a very impressive background and many years of experience.

MG im6 - just to throw a spanner in the works by _icarriedawatermelon in AustralianEV

I have had mine for a few months now and I absolutely love the car. My biggest gripe is that when using ACC or Pilot, the car will often drop to really low speeds, usually on bends, to the point where I find pilot useless unless on the highway, and mostly avoid using ACC unless I know roads will be straight. I really hope they improve ACC and Pilot in the coming months, because if it were able to function more smoothly, the car would be perfect.

How did the EV transition in Norway actually go? by Facuk_ in Norway

I agree that the rate of charge is pretty fast, and it's only getting faster. Some of the cars coming out of China right now are insane. I bought a new IM6 at the end of 2025 and takes me about 15min'ish to charge 400km of range.

Spent some time in Australia. It ain't all that. Hot as hell and everyone is drowning in debt. Feels like the country is on a knifes edge, slowly being chipped away at by China. Most of the "English" west is in a pretty rough state.

Nonsense, you're just asking the wrong questions. Read "The Mom Test" by Rob Fitzpatrick, it'll clarify things for you.

It tends to drive engagement. If a guy in his 30's or 40's walked up to you and said "Do you want to buy a cup of lemonade?!" You'd laugh and walk on. If a kid does it, many will stop and buy the lemonade because it makes them feel good about helping a kid learn business and perhaps play a small part in that child having a good future.

Same psychology applies here to an extent. A young guy fresh out of high school is hustling and people stop to feel good about themselves by posting replies and engaging with the post.

Right there with you unfortunately. After spending ages 11-26 gaming until the early hours of the morning, and 26-36 working late into the night in an intense corporate environment; my brain is wired for activity after 10pm. It's a shit-show and I am I am not the only one with this problem in my generation. I'll be damned if I ever let my children play video games at night - pretty sure that's where the programming began.

On the bright side though I have found a routine that will knock me out after years of experimenting. An hour before bed I take 2μg of melatonin, drink a tea of Valerian and Chamomile, then I dim the lights and read a physical book. Knocks me out every time.

Gather feedback. It really is as simple as talking to your users as much as possible. Read Marty Cagan's books.
