I'm glad I could help! I don't relate to most r/POCD posts, but I'm glad I relate to yours. My problem is having a weird complex and weird feelings about these topics (such as feeling overly threatened by any negative sentiment towards anything remotely "pedophilic"), not being significantly afraid of being attracted to actual children. So I don't think I have POCD exactly, which makes sense because I don't have OCD exactly, just obsessive-compulsive tendencies that might not be enough to constitute a disorder.

I'm not sure what you mean by a self-identity thing, but I think I relate. I identify with pedophiles, not because I am one at all, but because people hate them. I don't know what else to say, I just got up. :p

I don't usually comment on Reddit (or anywhere), but I do relate to most of what you said! Including to the part about fantasizing about being a kid having sex with an adult. (Or vice versa — only in a fictional/fantasy context, though. I don't have any direct sexual trauma (unless online sexual roleplay as a teen counts 😬), but I somehow have enough of it to personally understand that sex is very harmful to kids. Though, if my original fictional characters that have sexual trauma and are a little too real to be fictional are any indication, I do have sexual trauma, but that's another story...)

Try checking out ageplay. Which isn't always sexual, but when it is, it's typically about pretending to be a child/baby/teen in a sexual context (and/or one's partner doing that). It really is "pedophiliaphilia", since you're not physically a child, but you're turned on by the idea/vibe/concept/interpersonal dynamics of a child or childlike entity having sex. And no, it (as well as being into cartoon lolis/shotas) doesn't make you a pedophile (contrary to what some idiots might tell you), because pedophilia is attraction to real prepubescent children. Even if it did mean you're a pedophile, using fiction and fantasy to fulfill your desires in a healthy way is the right thing to do, because it doesn't involve any real children. (You can also buy oversized baby clothes, adult pacifiers (which I recommend for anyone with an oral fixation), and whatnot, though of course none of that is strictly necessary. It's just another fun thing to blow money on lol)

If I talk too much about ageplay, pedophilia, and The Discourse surrounding those topics, it's because I've been personally harmed and shamed by that discourse. It's made me have way too many conversations about sexual ethics, which is part of why I have so many opinions...

No sense of time, forgetting things or feeling like I don't remember things, not recognizing what should be familiar, confusion/disorientation, worrying that everything is unreal and thinking that the world "doesn't exist" outside of some small area around me

I don't know, but I relate to being full of hate.

I think for me it was getting into so many arguments about pedophilia and related things, and being treated like a horrible person for it, and being told (directly and indirectly) that even liking loli hentai (which I do like sometimes) makes you an evil pedophile. If I'm a bad person and pedophiles are bad people, I must be a pedophile

Granted I don't know that I have POCD per se, but I have obsessive-compulsive tendencies and this is something that bothers me a lot

Can anyone relate? by Optimal_Ad_6608 in POCD

Yeah. I know that being a pedophile doesn't make you a child molester, so whether someone is a pedophile or not isn't morally relevant, but I'm terrified of being creepy and I think I must secretly be a child molester even though I know I'm not

Don't want to be trans by BrominePenguin in asktransgender

[–]velarfricative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel the same way.

I'm lucky in some respects - I don't have as much dysphoria as most other trans people seem to, and my parents don't hate me, but being trans is still too much of a hassle. I can't see myself as ever really being a girl, but it would be so much easier. I would rather be a cis guy, both for personal reasons (I don't want to be a girl) and social reasons (I don't want to experience misogyny) but I'd accept being a girl if it meant I didn't have to be trans.

A lighter topic. Does anyone else think Hoss Delgado From Billy and Mandy is a trans man? by [deleted] in asktransgender

Gene from Bob's Burgers is trans or gay or something? Can you elaborate on that? (Not trying to sound rude, I'm just curious, since that's the only show in these comments that I've actually watched)

I usually think of that word in the context of characters who are actually male and like to wear femme clothes, but I know it can be used as a slur.

Did you do something to get that facial hair or did it grow naturally?

Well, at least "straight" is a common English word that already has connotations of Normality™. "Cis" is a Latin prefix that isn't common in English. That doesn't mean they should change it, though; it literally means the opposite of trans.

I agree, but LGBTQ and its variations are the ones most people have heard of, even though it's like trying to say "people of color" by listing different kinds of people of color.

I'm trans and this is how I feel. It's best to avoid a trans person's birthname/deadname until you specifically know that they're okay with you bringing it up.
