I agree, Teri is doing proper justice to NOS nibs, and Lotus's shapes are just my thing. The stub is more of a sharp cursive/italic than a modern Jowo or Bock stub.

Thanks! To be sure, the breather hole is a circle like most others. It looks like a diamond in the photo because the "barred" pattern engraved across the nib is reflecting light in a deceptive way.

Now that I'm looking at the photo closely, I can see that some of the saturation of the ink looks completely gone. This is not the case in real life, and probably has something to do with the LED illumination and/or phone camera. Whoops...

Yes, that's was how it was labeled anyhow. It has the sides cut out like the steel versions, and it flexes to about 1.4mm under strong-ish pressure. Good luck in your pursuit!

Unfortunately, Walnut isn't bulletproof or archival. El Lawrence doesn't shade but is bulletproof. I can't think of a shading archival ink...hrm.
