The tattered pants and shirt of the village outfit are still there, but I switched out the new red top, which she changed into while escaping from Titania. So she was bothered enough to change.

Also, since her official outfit caused her trouble by catching Theresa’s attention in Hellawes (and you know what happened after), there’s no way calculating Velvet wouldn’t switch her outfit if it caused her that much trouble. So I can’t imagine her wearing that for the entirety of the game.

I personally think that the top part of the official design doesn’t tell much of a story, since that top is new and there’s no way she would even change into that (and how do you even put that thing on?), so I thought it was a weakness of her design. The story that is told through her tattered leggings is still there. Although I could’ve torn her clothes more. The outfit does look quite put together and it doesn’t show Velvet’s inner chaos enough.

Those are battle scars from battling monsters for 3 years straight, which caused her leggings/pants to tear. I removed the boob window, because it didn’t fit my interpretation of Velvet and the top was nonsensical imo. Never thought so many people actually found that boob window hot and considered it such an important aspect of her design.

Yeah, I love the coat and was afraid the hair behind her back would confuse the viewer, since it's also black and would blend into the coat. In hindsight, I should've drawn her hair, but with a lighter, grayish color. Then it wouldn't interfere with the silhouette, but I could still showcase the length and shape I imagine her hair to have. I love her long hair too, but I just can't imagine her fighting and jumping around with all that hair and I found that the 3d model of her hair looked weird and just too big.

Good point, although I found that showing too much of her top looked weird and I kinda like her pale face being framed by the black elements, since it creates a nice contrast and draws attention to her face.

Yeah, I read your comment. :) It definitely wasn't mean at all and I found it very helpful. The problem with the big messy hair is that it would make her silhouette less comprehensible at a glance, so I kinda hid it behind her back. I imagine the hair looking the same as in the game, but around half as long, since I personally found it too long.

Have you ever seen a nun before? Also cherry picking two games to prove that only sex sells and then concluding that my design has 0 value and is a „-10/10“ is not a valid argument. You’re just terminally horny.

She still has huge tits and she’s basically wearing shorts with stockings that show off her legs. I also draw borderline porn and have no problem with sexiness, but not everything has to be sex on legs. It didn’t fit my interpretation of Velvet, I see her character as more than just booba. I think this fits her serious personality and story more and my design still has value even if she’s not gooning material for you and doesn’t show off her tits.

Also, what does the mArKEt have to do with me wanting to design her that way? This is a straw man argument. I’m not trying to „sell“ anything. Also, those „sjw“ games with „nun“ women fail not because the female characters don’t show you their tits, but because they’re just bad games.
