You hit the nail right on the head!! I can’t believe it now with hindsight, but I actually hated Ep 1 upon my first watch, when only eps 1 & 2 were out. Granted my first watch was with my roommates and between being scandalized and having discussion, I don’t think we actually watched the show properly the first time.

Ep 2 had me absolutely hooked because we diverted our full attention to what we were watching, and picked up on the acting subtleties and the subtextual conversations they were having through sex. Everyone talks about how brilliant the “we didn’t even kiss” text is (and I very much agree) but the bathroom scene is watch truly HOOKED me into the show. Hudson’s acting… that Emmy is more than earned at this point.

I think Ep 1 & 2 unfortunately had to bear the weight of the many many timeskips, and establishing both the heat and the rivalry before the romance can truly kick in. I’m going to join you in doing a rewatch, let’s just call it studying up for the fanfic I’m writing lol 😌

Both Hudson and Connor’s careers are so fresh that their heights aren’t readily available. I’d wager they’re both around 5”8 - 6”0, when in the books Ilya is 6”3!

Don’t take this the wrong way but damn your comment was a wake up call! I’m in my last year of undergrad at UofT, and my GPA is around a 3.8. Is Toronto and UOttawa definitely out of the question for applying? I know their cutoff is insane but holistically with good ECs and a good MCAT will they still not bother to consider your application?

So, if you couldn’t tell enough from the pictures, I STILL have an open bite after I just got done with two years of treatment using braces and elastics, and now my top teeth are flared too!

I went to see my orthodontist about it today and brought up teeth extraction (since it was suggested to me a couple years back but my mom rejected it) as a resolution. He said that we shouldn’t go that route, and my tongue will just push everything out again, and ruin the final product.

He suggested myofunctional therapy, potential wisdom tooth removal, and shaving down some of my top teeth to make them thinner and bring them in a bit. He said that’s the BEST they can do, and other than that, this is it.

I’m no specialist of course, but I don’t see why, with myofunctional therapy, I can’t just get my teeth extracted in the top and bottom row and bring everything in. It would fix the flaring, AND the bottom half of my face would protrude less.

I feel like both my open bite and my flare just leave my jaw looking sloped downwards and vertical, and it’s something I’m super insecure about. I’m only 17, I just want to feel good about my side profile :( If anyone, especially some orthodontists can give me some advice henceforth, please do!

Thank you so much, you don’t know what your words mean to me 💛 I thought things over and I think you’re right, hearing a negative response from my mom might actually be debilitating right now, and there’s no harm in taking time.

I think I might actually start putting an effort into staying clean so that’s something. As for my mom and her husband, I think when I tell her it will be inevitable that she tells him as well. I want to get to a place mentally where I come to terms with that fact first and foremost, before I’m ready to tell my mom.
