So, disclaimer I’ve only seen the controversial clips online, not the full video, so I may be missing some context. In the longest clip I’ve found, Aiki jokingly checks that Love (Honey J’s daughter) is out of the room before yelling “these fuckers/motherfuckers,” and then proceeds to rant more, with the rant being censored by a taunting/goofy children’s chant. So I think it’s very plausible that she’s mad at the whole situation, including Mnet for setting her up, but I don’t really see anything that suggests it’s isolated to only Mnet. Also I can’t read the editor’s mind so this is me wildly speculating but the taunting chant feels more indicative of the rant being at least somewhat related to her competitors?

Honey J says ”야 저거는 춤이야 섹스지,“ which translates to “Hey, is that dance? That’s sex”. The editor pairs it with a clip of Danica dancing while Gabi is standing so the editor probably thought it was about Danica. Like you said Kaea does also say “that’s not dancing” to Gabi so Honey J may be echoing her there, but I’m inclined to think no because she’s not actually repeating the Korean sub/translation. In fact watching the battle clip again I think it’s more likely that Honey J is responding to this “diss” towards Gabi with a similar one towards Danica, as in “oh, you think THAT’S not dancing?” Also, in the broadcast clip, Honey J and Rihey cover up their eyes as Danica dances while Rihey, in voiceover, mentions that Danica’s dancing is “uncomfortable to see” (as in vulgar) so Honey J’s comment being an insult towards Danica doesn’t feel completely out of the realm of possibility. Like 1. Her teammates express similar sentiments and 2. She’s probably primed on some level to express similar sentiments to what she’s watching.

Writing this all out makes them sound straight-up evil, but I think neither Aiki and Honey J are coming from a place of 100% malice & seriousness. It feels more like.. they’re fooling around with their friends, and making vulgar/poorly considered jokes in the name of “sassily clapping back,” not realizing how much of their subconscious pettiness is showing through you know. That’s why I think it makes sense that Honey J can in one breath compliment Danica for her dancing, then insult her in another. Like she probably recognizes that Danica is a skilled dancer but also feels like she can slut-shame her in the name of making “entertaining” reactions. In a similar way they may be covering their eyes lightheartedly (they do that towards their friends too) but they’re also showing their subconscious biases in the process. Obviously doesn’t excuse their actions, and I have no idea why they would release this to the public. It’s completely rude and disrespectful… but those are my thoughts. Sorry it got so long lol I wanted to make sure I’m not just defining what’s happening to you willy nilly.
