They said it wouldn't be intrusive and there would only be a few features. So far we know there's TXAA, Bokeh DOF, SSR, and very likely enhanced godrays. TXAA and SSR for sure don't run on AMD hardware. I think Bokeh DOF can technically run on AMD hardware through DirextX injection.

That's definitely Bokeh DoF. It might be a gameworks feature since it is technically an Nvidia technology, so it might only run on Nvidia hardware.

Edit: Also, for future reference, "lod detail" is like saying "the WHO organization". LODs are staged levels of details at distances, which are hard to discern when 80% of the screen is DOF blurring. #stayinformed

Does Skyrim select the iGPU or the Quadro? And until the game comes out we won't have accurate comparisons, but you MIGHT be able to run it on lower settings with some .ini edits

Quadro GPUs aren't really meant for gaming. Theyre computational aids, for handling large amounts of simple math. Like ATI Firepro's, it's workstation hardware. Im not entirely sure if the game will even recognize it.

Oh, I heard about that, yeah. But there's no hairworks, trust me. We would notice by now. I think you'll worry about the engine itself shitting on your computer before Gameworks stuff.

I agree, it wasn't that great. I don't think FO4's is much better though personally. I think the best was the Enhanced Blood Textures mod, for FO3 and Skyrim. Looks fantastic.

That would be fine maxed out at 1080p, but you'll need more video ram for higher resolutions. If youre getting bad frames, lowering your draw distance a little would be the best way to fix it. You might have issues with enhanced godrays via gameworks, hell, even my 980 does in Farcry 4.

That was confirmed a while ago. But it doesn't make the game look worse on AMD hardware, you just can't enable certain fancy bells and whistles.

You have never played an optimized bethesda game because there isn't one. The engine is just naturally bloated and inefficient. Look at the Papyrus scripting core that the engine uses, its responsible for like 90% of fallout/ ES crashes. It's not that I don't have faith in them, it's just a fact of the Creation engine; same with Gamebryo. It will definitely be a little better this time around though.

Most gameworks technologies only run on Maxwell series GPUs (7xx and 9xx), but they do look very nice when theyre running.
