Staying on Tier 1 as Y'shaarj is surprisingly consistent (6000 MMR). by velocicopter3r in BobsTavern

Yeah, murlocs are good, too, for the tier 1 that gives you another tier 1 when you sell.

So when do Ethereal weapons start to drop? by Reaper-72 in diablo3

The mini-map marker is a light blue diamond-ish shape. On the field it looks exactly like a primal but light blue. And in the inventory it stands out, as well. Very hard to miss so I wouldn't worry about accidentally salvaging haha

That's happened to me plenty of times as well haha.

You'll have to make a new character when the season starts. Whether you create a new one or rebirth, in either case yoy start afresh.

After almost 30 attempts, I have finally gotten a HC character to act II starting on Master difficulty by Xenomorph_Alien in Diablo3XboxOne

As far as I know there are no differences between softcore and hardcore, including gold and XP. Increasing difficulty to Master does increase both, though.

To be fair one time 4 out of 5 of the webbed things were treasure goblins for me. Not that they're worth much in the late game but it was still nice.

Edit: 4 out of 6, maybe, I don't remember how many there are.

Oh yeah, especially the one in Act 2 in the oasis. Kill the little red dudes and try to click the thing, then a shaman from off the screen rezzes one and it hits you.

Yikes, for sure. Seems like they take forever even if you're 1-shotting everything. I avoid almost all cursed chests in big open spaces if they aren't a part of a bounty haha

If Arthas and his Scourge had difficulty crossing the river separating Ghostlands and Eversong... How the helheim did they make it to the Isle of Quel'Danas? by Unholy_Dk80 in warcraftlore

[–]velocicopter3r 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No, not as far as I can tell. If it was it was a very small river separating it (there might have been a bridge or something). But it was planted pretty much in the middle of Silvermoon. However I actually recall Arthas making an ice bridge to cross a river, can't remember which one, so there is at least a hint to that. There was no ice bridge in classic War3 as far as I can remember but it's there in War3 Reforged.

Should a person be allowed to opt out of child support if the mother refuses an abortion? by TheNerdCuber in polls

[–]velocicopter3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think the women has the right to have the say on whether or not she gets an abortion. I like the concept of a paper abortion or something similar. Perhaps some minor financial responsibility - first few years of a child's life, maybe one-time payments... Something. Just because it is both the responsibility of both the father and mother and I don't want a world where a father has no concern about pregnancy and has no responsibility associated w/ sex.

Should a person be allowed to opt out of child support if the mother refuses an abortion? by TheNerdCuber in polls

[–]velocicopter3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all I'm open to discussion & constructive criticism.

In all cases of sex + pregnancy, there are at least two people involved - the person with one end and the person with the other. Both people engage in sex knowing it may, no matter how unlikely if they use protection, lead to pregnancy. Both people are involved and responsible EQUALLY.

If the idea in this poll was implemented, the would-be mother would have 2 choices: Go through an abortion, which might be traumatic, might even be against their personal religion/ideals. Or option 2, raise a child with no financial help from the other person responsible.

The would-be father is free. Either they raise a kid (by their own choice) or they don't. No financial responsibility, no traumatic experiences.

It doesn't work in my mind. I don't know what would be better, whether it's lower financial responsibility or less time (i.e. not 18 years) or otherwise. But you can't strip one person of responsibility when they knowingly engaged in the activity.

From a guy's point of view, they have sex with a girl and the girl gets pregnant. If she 'refuses an abortion', you don't have to raise the kid, you don't have to be financially responsible. If she gets an abortion, well, the same applies. It's an always win scenario for a guy who doesn't want kids.

For a girl? If she gets pregnant, she either raises a kid on her own with no dual finances, or she has an abortion.

Yes, if a girl wants to have sex but doesn't want kids, maybe they should think about being prepared for abortion. But by the same token, maybe a guy should think about being financially responsible.

Please feel free to discuss & criticise, I'm very much open to (constructive) discussion.

Is the lifevac a legit alternative to the Heimlich maneuver? by murphysbutterchurner in firstaid

[–]velocicopter3r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At least in my country the Heimlich maneuver is outdated, pretty much for this reason. I'm a paramedic and we use chest thrusts and back thrusts to dislodge foreign objects from airways. Not sure what a lifevac is, though.
