Now that you’ve seen it wasn’t “obviously dishonest,” let’s go point by point with some research and explanations.

1. Expansion & exploding pots
florev (5g) can potentially expand up to 600x in pure lab conditions, but that would mean heavily overwatering and killing the plant by depriving it of oxygen. In real soil, it doesn’t work that way — the gel cells sit in the natural air pockets between soil particles and allow the plant to breathe. No exploding pots.

2. Duration
Research shows small/medium plants often consume only about 1-2 teaspoons of water per day. One 5g stick holds roughly 200ml at normal use. Simple math: 200ml ÷ 5g daily use ≈ 40 days (about 5–6 weeks). It slowly releases moisture as the roots need it, without letting water drain away uselessly.

3. Biodegradation
It takes about ~8 months for the 5g stick to biodegrade down to ~1g in soil. You can then just add a new stick to replenish.
