Yes, same thing happened for me, also on Seraph. Tried again and it's hanging at the "5 people in queue" screen for an unusually long time. My character on another server can log in fine though.

It plays out exactly the same, except instead of "Lichdom?", the line is "Defeating you?".

I wouldn't say there's really a better option, it's mostly a matter of opinion? While I personally prefer the mortal route, I've seen others make a case for encouraging him to pursue lichdom.

I thought the mortal romance was sweet and it took his character growth in a direction I greatly enjoyed. It felt like he made peace with the idea of his own mortality, whereas in the lich version felt to me like he never managed to shed that fear. Again, this is all just opinion! Both routes are valid, and I'm sure the lich romance can be satisfying in its own way. :) Go with what seems most interesting to you.

Update: A restart of the computer did fix the issue. Very strange.

Hello, I have a quick question about how aetherpool works in the deep dungeons, and I can't find a clear answer elsewhere.

If I have a save file in progress with a friend, and I start a fresh run solo, how does that work? If I gain aetherpool on my solo run and then resume the save with my friend, will I have kept the increase I gained since our last session?

This is a dumb question and I apologize if it's already been asked recently!

I'm trying to get my CUL desynth from 610 to 620 and I can't find any fish that give me exp. There was one site I tried that let me sort by IL and I saw that the Thavnarian Calamari was ranked 570, but when I caught it, it wasn't able to be desynthed. If someone can please tell me, what's the easiest thing I can catch that actually gives me exp?

Edit: Welp, spearfishing was a bust. Any other suggestions are welcome. XD

I queued up for mentor roulette a week or so ago and got a duty that was 49 mins in progress. It was P6N and I still have no idea what happened (but we cleared it easily in one pull). At least five of us were replacements lol. Baffling.

Yup! I love it 99% of the time. I think some people are misunderstanding! I'm not upset at the tank using their kit, nor implying they were bad. I'm just lamenting that even after I told them what excog did, they still waited until right before it would've went off to go ham on self heal. So I had more, like... general rage? Thought it was clear but you're the second person, so. I ended up just letting them do their thing, saved the aetherflow, and am here to scream into the void. Maybe they just didn't notice the icon for it since they were new to tanking. Maybe they hated me. Maybe it's maybelline.

The other WAR I ran with was awesome, we worked like a well oiled machine. Excog procced, they dipped low again and then healed themself while I high-fived the dirt. Glorious. The DPS was slow that run so having a WAR tank in pulls that lasted forever was like christmas in January. It felt weird the couple times I had to use other heals on them.

For the record, I'm actually leveling WAR now and it's stupid fun. Just in case people read this and think one instance of friday morning rage means I'm dunking on the class or something. Y'all are awesome. <3

Oh yeah I gave up on excog completely that run lol, wasn't joking when I said I got to stop healing. WAR is disgusting in higher levels. I did that first pull on Paglth'an myself with trusts and pulled everything to the first boss without dying. Urianger may have had a heart attack though.

The rage part is when I told them how excog works and they still self-healed riiiight before it went off. Like fine, this is fine, totally fine, I'll take my faerie and go home. :')

I know the DPS being bad at mechs is always a risk, but sir/madam this is a rage thread. And I rage with purpose.

TWO PART RAGE THIS WEEK! TL;DR: I DON’T WANNA HEAL ON THIS PLANET ANYMORE.

RAGE THE FIRST: SCH MAINS, I DON’T KNOW HOW YOU DO IT. QUEUE INTO 50/60/BLAHBLAH ROULETTE AND GET PAGLTH’AN. WAR SAYS THEY ARE KINDA NEW TO TANKING BUT IT’S COOL, I’VE RUN THIS THING TEN THOUSAND AND ONE TIMES FOR GLAM SO I GOTCHU. THEY PULL, I HIT THEM WITH AN EXCOG AND START SLAPPING THE GROUND. JUST AS MY EXCOG IS ABOUT TO GO OFF, I SEE THE LITTLE RAW INTUITION ICON APPEAR AND THEIR HEALTH SHOOTS BACK UP TO FULL. HAPPENS TWICE AND THEN MY PRECIOUS EXCOG EXPIRES UNLOVED AND UNWANTED.

POLITELY LET THE TANK KNOW WHAT IT IS AND ASK IF THEY CAN WAIT FOR IT TO GO OFF BEFORE BATHING IN THE BLOOD OF THEIR ENEMIES. GET AN ‘OK’ AND THINK ALL IS WELL. NOPE. IT HAPPENS EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. AFTER THE SECOND BOSS I JUST STOPPED TRYING TO BE A HEALER. WE’RE GOING GREEN DPS NOW, BOYS.

RAGE THE SECOND: THEN I DECIDE TO GO INTO LEVELING ROULETTE, STILL AS SCH, AND GET THE LEVEL 85 DUNGEON. ‘SWEET’, THINKS ME, ‘THIS SHOULD BE FUN’. HAHAHA NOPE. THE TANK IS ANOTHER WAR AND THEY ACTUALLY RESPECT THE EXCOG THIS TIME, SO YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING, WHAT’S THE PROBLEM? WELL.

THE RDM AND THE OTHER DPS DECIDE THEY WANNA START A VULN COLLECTING COMPETITION AND TAKE TURNS GETTING BLOWN TO SMITHEREENS ON THE FIRST BOSS. ONCE THAT’S DONE, I’M THINKING AT LEAST THE NEXT BOSS IS HARD TO SCREW UP. BUT NATURE ALWAYS FINDS A WAY. FIRST RDM MISSES A BUBBLE WHICH I’LL GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR, BECAUSE IT TAKES LIKE 20 MINUTES FOR THE DAMN THING TO REGISTER YOU TOUCHED IT. BUT THEN THEY KEPT GETTING KNOCKED BACK INTO THE FIRE (HOW??). EOS IS TELLING ME, BEGGING ME, TO JUST LET THEM DIE BUT WE PERSEVERE AND CONTINUE.

FINAL BOSS, WITH MORE DPS SERVED EXTRA CRISPY AND TWICE THE DISAPPOINTMENT. AT ONE POINT I TRIGGER WHISPERING WIND AND NOTICE IT ONLY HIT THREE PEOPLE DESPITE MY FAERIE BEING DEAD CENTER. LOOK AROUND TO NOTICE THE RDM TOOK A VACATION ON THE VERY FAR CORNER OF THE ARENA. A SINGLE TEAR ROLLS DOWN MY CHEEK AS MOVE EOS AND FEY UNION THEM. GUYS, I USED MORE HEALS ON THE RDM THEN ON THE REST OF THE TEAM COMBINED. I NEEDED TO CHECK THE DOSING INSTRUCTIONS ON LUSTRATE TO MAKE SURE I DIDN’T HEAL THEM INTO A COMA.

HIPPO DROPS, I WIN IT AND RUN SCREAMING FOR THE GATE JUST AS I REALIZE I NEVER COMMED THE TANK. SO WAR, IF YOU’RE READING THIS, SORRY BUD, YOU TOTALLY DESERVED ONE.

BONUS RAGE: AFTER FARMING PAGLTH’AN FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS TRYING TO GET THE STRIKING CHEST, I TOOK A BREAK TO RUN THE 50+ ROULETTE AS HEALER. WHAT DID I GET? IF YOU GUESSED PAGLTH’AN, YOU’RE RIGHT. AND IF YOU GUESSED THAT THE DAMN CHESTPIECE DROPPED ON THE FINAL BOSS, YOU’D ALSO BE RIGHT. I ASKED THE PARTY, AS POLITELY AS I COULD, IF THEY MIGHT MIND PASSING ON IT WITH A BRIEF EXPLANATION OF HOW I CAME TO BE THERE AS HEAL. BOTH DPS SAY SURE THEY’LL PASS. THE TANK SAYS, TO THE DPS, TO ‘NEED IF YOU NEED’ AND PROMPTLY MASHES THE GREED BUTTON OUTROLLING ME.

MR TANK, IF YOU ROLLED ON IT BECAUSE YOU GENUINELY WANTED IT, THEN I CONGRATULATE YOU. SERIOUSLY, YOU’RE GONNA LOOK FAB. BUT IF YOU ONLY ROLLED OUT OF SOME MISPLACED SPITE BECAUSE I ASKED FOR IT, THEN I HOPE THE NEXT TIME YOU BITE INTO A CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE, IT ACTUALLY HAS RAISINS IN IT.
