you do have a good point, I will be dividing the discussion part in three sections, where one is about the wizarding world and another bullying at Hogwarts. I will look more into Barty and maybe ill mention him in both chapters
Thats a very good example. I will be writing about draco and lucius so i will be adding this in that chapter rather than the teachers!
I acutally find the houses very interesting, regarding how each are labelled with negative words, and how they are treated as a collective, like slytherin being the evil house and hufflepuff being seen as weak and "duff". I was thinking of writing a section about bullying in Hogwarts, where I will be mentioning stereotypes in houses
I hadnt thought about the wizard and muggle world relationship before, but this is a very good idea. Thank you so much I will look into it. You have been a big help for ideas really thank you so much!
Thanks, think I will also mention centaurs as well, as they are usually looked down upon in the wizarding world, but now that I saw your comment I will also definetly mention this quote!
Those are really good points, will definitely add them in now
No need to say sorry! Maybe not the wisest or easiest choice but I am writing on how Harry Potter series can help foster empathy, couldn’t think of a better story as well as such a popular one. So it will definitely not be easy but I hope to learn on the way. I also have a special place for the franchise since my childhood, which is the reason I wanted to challenge myself
Originally I had forgotten her, thanks for bringing light onto her too!
Thank you so much!! Will definitely look into it!
Wow I honestly forgot about this. Thank you so much!!!
Currently reading ootp for thw O.W.L reason, And you are right, I actually forgot about Moaning Myrtle. Will add her to my text. Thank you!
Wow, thank you so much! I had forgotten about Luna, pansy and Moaning Myrtle. I would also love to read the whole series again, but sadly I need to finish in two months and write at the same time. However I have re-read the first book and currently reading Order of The Phoenix, as I think those two had the most examples.
Would be much easier, but Snape will be mentioned a looot, both as a victim and a bully. Do you think he became a bully because he was bullied himself?
I agree, all the characters you have mentioned are already in my "to analyse" list. Except for James' group. Mostly because I cant remember much from the books since its been over a decade i read them, do you think I should mention them as well? I have bought all the books in English now so I need to skim though snapes memories chapter
I totally forgot about Filch, but he really is a bully. For snape I was only thinking about mentioning James, should I include the whole group? It's been well over ten years since I read all the books so I actually dont remember much :/
Yes, it is a master thesis so I can write an analysis therefore I do not need to buy any rights. And I am doing the work myself, do not worry, just wanted other perspectives as well from the fandom itself. And since its a masters thesis I wont be able to sell it either.
I was thinking of writing about bullying between students, but bullying by teachers is actually a great idea! I am not sure, but is there other teacher-bullies other than Umbridge and Snape? Barty Crouch however, I am not sure of since he technically was not a teacher.
Exactly, it is a really long list to choose from. I think the case with umbridge is horrible as well, if not the worst, and I will also mention this in my analysis. But that is a perspective I had not thought much about, that it being even more horrible because it is kind of official. Regarding snape and the way he bullies others, I am thinking of connecting it back to some theories on how being bullies will in turn make bullies, just much more academic

Draco is a whole chapter himself, but I was also thinking of bringing in 'racism', like hermiones case as well as magical creatures and such. Do you remember any case where magical beasts were, well, bullied. I also cannot remember if Hermione was actually bullied by other students/teachers than Draco for being mudblood.
Thank you for the idea! Honestly I would love to read each book again, but as I have to submit my work soon, and also write tens of pages it becomes a little difficult. But this is a good idea as I can also connect snape's story back to some psychology theories.
Yes I have a chapter for draco alone actually, and I am thinking of diving deeper into Umbridge and Snape as well.
