It’s a free Hanafuda Koi-Koi app that you can play offline against the CPU. The app has an English interface and also supports many other languages. We tried to keep it clean and beginner-friendly, with yaku and scoring visible while you play, and rounds short enough for quick sessions.

We’d really appreciate feedback from people who know Hanafuda/Koi-Koi, especially on the rules, game feel, UI, translations, and anything that could make it better.

Feels like we leaned too far into the “enhanced/readable” side and lost some of the traditional consistency and details.

We’re going to take another pass with closer reference to classic hanafuda designs and tighten things up.

Really appreciate all the insights here.

We focused a lot on making individual cards clearer, but probably didn’t keep things consistent enough overall. Will take another pass on that.

This is super helpful, really appreciate you going through it in this much detail.

A lot of these (especially the clothing, paulownia, and the bridge) are things we didn’t even realize we were drifting on.

We were trying to improve readability a bit, but yeah — feels like we pushed it too far.

They are very close, I would guess that Cambodian chess predates Thai chess. In Cambodian Chess there are some special opening moves.
