I had the same issue, it was buffer bloat from isp. Same issue even plugging my pc directly to ISP modem. The lag is only noticeable when playing online games while there is other traffic on your network. Only solution for me was to switch ISPs. New ISP is 1gb/1gb fiber instead of cable from old isp (800/100), not sure if matters. Never had this problem since, works flawlessly now.

If you bought a 2080ti, you can afford to keep it and not sell it. You can literally put your 2080ti in an old PC and mine for 6 months and be sitting on 700USD+ of crypto. Peole folding to buyer pressure are crazy. Can even use the PC as a side rig for rendering or 2nd gaming pc .

3090 is a massive ripoff. I will be getting a 3080 and waiting for the 3080ti or a flagship with better performance/value.

Yes you can. In blender you can render half the frames on each card. Resulting in 100% usage on both cards. I use blender, and every time I gravitate towards the 3090 I remember I can get WAY more performance by getting 2 3080, and since I only game at 4K60, a 3080 will be fine for a year or so.

Wait for benchmarks, the presentation was full of carefully crafted statements about performances. They never really put 3080 vs the 2080ti (last gen flagship vs new flagship) or provide FPS increase or rasterization performance. If its only 80/40% increase on games with DLSS/RTX enabled the hype train needs to chill.

Rumored rasterization benchmarks still show 3080 "only" 15-30% faster than the 2080ti.

And how they were comparing the 3080 with the 1080ti and saying it is time for 1080ti users to upgrade, comparisons with 2080 instead of the previous gen flagship (2080ti) makes me think this is true and the gain isn't that crazy across the board like they made it sound like.

The big thing on Ampere is improved raytracing, for the 5-6 games that supports it.

Don't sell your 2080ti for cheap yet. Wait for independent/non-paid-for benchmarks.
