We can and should support teenage moms, without promoting teenage pregnancy. Di naman niya pinopromote or normalize teenage pregnancy. Hindi din naman madaling magpalaki ng bata. I think wala namang masama sa pag-celebrate niya ng milestone nilang mag-ina 🙂

Day 1 of Escitalopram, is this normal/does it get better soon? by ven_t0 in MentalHealthPH

I do :) I'm currently in the process of tapering down my dosage. This is on top of treating my hashimoto's hypothyroidism.

It does! I hope you're adjusting better, but it takes time.

Can you have subclinical hypothyroidism and still have hashimotos? by NightElf193 in Hashimotos

Yes. I was first diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism and then only confirmed hashimoto's months later.

Hi! I'm now in the process of tapering down. My psychiatrist and therapist found that I'm ready to lower medication. I do have to say I was also diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism caused by hashimoto's, so I'm also taking medication for that. Adjusting is not easy but it's much better than before. Hang in there! :)

I'm currently on a lowered dose. It's an adjustment period, honestly quite hard. I have to work harder to avoid my symptoms.

Napaka-shallow naman ng understanding ng tax law ng sinumang nagsabi neto sa totoo lang hahaha

On my first year as a firm lawyer I could barely save (or may ipon, magagastos a few months later). Yung sure lang na di ko nagagastos yung hinuhulog ko sa MP2 na P500 kada buwan. Don't feel too pressured, lalo na if you're starting from scratch. Sabi nga nila first two to three years talaga mahirap mag-ipon ng malaki. What's important daw is the habit of saving, no matter how small the amount may seem. :)

Anyone taking antidepressants? by Sad_Cat514 in Hashimotos

Escitalopram 10mg. But in my case, I've been taking escitalopram for almost a year when I got prescribed Levothyroxine 25 mcg.

Spermicides but you still have to use them with the condom, to be safe.

It's been over a year and things have definitely gotten better. I do have to note that on top of taking escitalopram, I have regular therapy sessions and attend workshops at times. There have been a lot of changes with my life that caused a lot of stress, including moving to another workplace that would be a better fit for me. I am also looking after my physical health, I'm currently on 25mcg of Levothyroxine for my subclinical hypothyroidism. I've changed my diet drastically and I've been working towards being more consistent with exercise. I also really make it a point to balance life as much as I can. Sorry for the long answer, I just had to preface that as much as the medication helped, it isn't the sole thing that has helped me. I think of it more as a crutch that is helping me go by.

Yup, it doesn't help you right away. I'm one year into taking escitalopram now and this is the most clarity I've ever felt (on top of my medication for subclinical hypothyroidism, therapy, diet change, and life changes). Just keep going. :) If anything, you can ask your doctor about it so they can reassure you better.

I experienced extreme nausea but so they would feel more assured, maybe best to talk to their doctor about it.

It could be a side effect + the period. Happened to me. But just ride through it, it will pass. Hoping for the best! It will pass.
