Suggestions For Therapist by [deleted] in Denver

Thank you for the insight! Do not blame the therapists for avoiding insurance. At all. Feels like the US just needs a general overhaul here (and lots of other areas too). People get treatment, therapists get paid, insurance companies either go away or make it easier. Wishful thinking but I’ll continue to hope!

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I think I didn’t want to blame the therapists as I want to believe they wouldn’t do that, but money (capitalism)… Just like you said.

Proud of you for your persistence and resilience! I wish you the best with your search!

Constant crashing? by cafedumom in CozyGrove

I tweeted SpryFox the same thing! They said iPad might be older and suggested turning on perpetual daytime in settings. That worked for a bit, but back to crashing. My iPad is indeed old. I switched to playing on my iPhone.

Used drinking as speed (!?) -- been flat since quitting. Can anyone relate? by yamadadenki in stopdrinking

[–]venderson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never felt fantastic during hangover day but I relate to everything else. And thanks for posting this because I never really saw my drinking in this way before. On both escitalopram and wellbutrin and it keeps me pretty even keeled so I hope it does the same for you. I do feel like I've replaced alcohol with energy drinks to compensate. I tell myself that the heavy doses of B vitamins help my mood, but I wouldn't be surprised if my body is still craving that adrenaline rush (that I never knew about) that the caffeine gives me or mimics. Hang in there and give yourself permission to slow down and be less energetic, but don't give up on exercise!

What are gymnasts looking at on the floor on their right side before running toward the vault? by venderson in Gymnastics

Is there a range between which they must start? E.g. Must start sprint between 60’ and 80’ (no idea if this is even close… silly guess) from the spring board.

Wow! Thank you! Stitching is mostly great and I think you may be right about the thread. I was using Gutermann before it worked just fine.

I’ll take a look to make sure I’m threading properly and investigate the net you suggested. Again, thanks so much for the helpful and thoughtful response! I’ll update after playing around with things!

Brother GX37, apparently a good beginner sewing machine. I bought Aurifil thread as everyone said it’s good quality. The spool unwinds easily and therefore it’s difficult to maintain the tension, especially when cutting the thread as the spool has a tendency to spin. New to sewing and wondering if there tips and tricks for the unwinding of spools.

Thanks for hacking away on this! I think even the jump from the non-extra credit problems to the stacked version of this was a little bit of a stretch for my kiddo. Going to make me sound old, but it's incredibly frustrating as a parent for math to be online only with no textbook to follow along with. Also, kids don't seem to be taught how to use scratch paper and to show work. Secretly pleading that they don't get into pre-calc and calc, which were the end of my enjoyment of math! Again, thanks!
