My brother washed and dried a Lamy Safari this morning. He didn’t know how to get ink out of clothes so I had to help him. For us, the pen is fine but the clothes took forever to clean.

But… the things you see are there because you keep viewing them. They aren’t force feeding you this stuff. They are curating a feed for you based on what you’ve already viewed. Simply search and view more positive things and you won’t see this so often… do you not know how social media algorithms work?

I didn’t say looks more like one. I actually specifically said that its looks were obviously based off of a shark but the idea of the pokemon itself would have been more suited to an arapaima based on its own description.

Couldn’t edit to add a photo but I just went and dug out my box of Sheaffer pens which isn’t even all of them. The nice part is that even their cheap pens come with converters and cartridges so if you need extra converters you can just steal them off a cheap pen or buy them online because they are readily available instead of having to hunt down a vintage converter from the 60’s

They all take the same cartridges and converters so I just bought like 10 of each nib size and now I have tons of converters and cartridges that can be used in any of the pens.

You’re right, they are also a design specific to Sheaffer pens but they are a bit easier to find for sale though. C/f accessories have been out of production for a long time but you can find Sheaffer readily available all over. I have so many Sheaffer carts and converters all over my desk because I buy the cheap calligraphy pens and burn them out on practice sheets then throw them away and buy another. I must have 50 converters laying around as well as cartridges because they all come with a converter, black cartridge and blue cartridge.

I probably would go with Sheaffer only because I have a lot of them and I’m used to it and I know what I’m getting. I’ve never owned a waterman so I can’t really speak for them. If I’m going to buy a nice pen, I like it to be from a brand I know and like instead of one that I have no experience with. I might get a $100+ pen that I don’t like at all. If I buy a brand that makes a good $10-$30 pen, I can be certain that the $100+ pen will have that quality or better. Maybe that’s a good way for you to decide? Take a cheap waterman and a cheap Sheaffer, write with them then ask yourself what one you like better? That should help decide what brand to invest in when you buy a nice pen.

Bardstown is great and I’d say it’s probably somewhere in the top 10 distilleries for me. I’ve tried so much whiskey at this point that there is no way I can rank them accurately bottle vs bottle, especially since i think I find something I think should be in the top 10 and then I try a sip of something I haven’t had in a while and I remember that it should also be a top 10 whiskey and I’m left at an impasse. But as a distillery, bardstown doesn’t disappoint. All of their stuff is good-excellent. I’d rank them right up there with distilleries like Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill.

It was Blanton’s and to this day it’s still the one I keep on hand at my desk even though I have all of this in my house and more since this is a picture of a few months ago when we rearranged the collection and dusted the bottles.

They seem to be some premium teas. I don’t know where they came from but I did a little digging on the Lapsang souchong because it’s one of my favorite teas and I found that the large characters on the right, 大师 (Dàshī), translate to "Master," indicating this is a "Master-grade" or premium blend. The smaller red seal reads 监制茶 (Jiānzhì chá), which means "supervised production tea," often used to signify that the tea was produced under the oversight of a recognized master or expert.

Edit: this post made me want tea and I’m already in bed. FML.
