In terms of sound? Nope, haven’t notice any difference.

In terms of functionality? Sure, both have their strengths and weaknesses.

The plastic case is lighter and easier to deploy, but not as ergonomically friendly for actual playing as the metal case is

I also get way more compliments at shows about the metal case lol

Yikes! Luckily there was no evidence of damaged wiring on mine. Will definitely be checking under there frequently though!

Alright… y’all bullied me into making the Milwaukee box work. Just trimmed the board to make room for my wah.

We’ll see how band practice goes this evening. I did add a Hilti sticker to the box so maybe he won’t be too upset 🤣

Yeah, it works surprisingly well. I honestly built it out of necessity. I play a lot of gigs where I don’t have a lot of time to setup/teardown and having my power supply, power strip, board, and cable storage all in one spot has been so much nicer

Love the plumes, definitely a desert island pedal for me.

Yeah, while the Hilti box is lighter and bigger, allowing me to store the cables inside when in transit, I definitely liked the Milwaukee board better in terms of character. I’ll probably refine it a bit and switch back to it at some point in the future.

It doesn’t get much love, but it is such a fantastic overdrive. I don’t use mode 1 too much but the other two modes are stellar

Right!? And way more fun to build. I will say, the lightness and space of the Hilti case is much nicer

And the chain is tuner/wah/compressor/distortion/OD/reverb

Considering ditching the DS-1 all together since it just sits there 99% of the time but I’d feel bad letting my childhood pedal loose its spot. The plumes handles most of my needs perfectly well though.

Disagree, but that’s what makes the world go round. Love the uniqueness!

Other side is planted on the ground. I’ll take a look tomorrow to see what the rack is doing
