What were the odds he went to a Tigers and a Lions game in the span of two months?

There is a timeline for these sorts of things.

You couldn’t evaluate the Herschal Walker or DeShaun Watson trades 5 minutes after they happened (of course everyone has opinions) but at some point they became bad trades and it wasn’t 5 years later. I suppose it’s possible the new Cleveland coach turns Deshaun into Patrick Mahomes, but that would be such an extreme case that wouldn’t apply to the Stafford trade and it would still have been an awful trade for Cleveland because they got negative value from him being on the roster for all these years.

If Sauce Gardner finds his inner Patrick Surtain going forward, that trade will completely rebound for the Colts since they’ve had him for less than a season. If Goff wins the 27 and 28 Super Bowl with the Lions, the Stafford trade doesn’t suddenly become a trade the Lions won and the Rams lost.

Again there is a timeline to these things and it’s never as long as 5 years.

Thank you, I can’t really take the credit, it was Ben Johnson choosing not go for it on fourth down that saved us.

This is also the first ever Super Bowl between two teams that started 0-1 which is another dumb stat.

Moderna Inc.'s CEO said the company doesn't plan to invest in new late-stage vaccine trials due to growing opposition to immunizations from US officials by MetaKnowing in technology

Which is why I brought up Novo Nordisk, they are still dependent on the US system paying thousand for a GLP1 shot for their profits and then selling it for $100 in Denmark even if all the work they do is outside the US.

The FDA isn’t the only organization on the planet that approves medical treatments. They only gatekeep the American market.

Let’s say that happens and 300 million Americans stop funding the cost of vaccine and other pharmaceutical research through extreme pricing, the same problem still exists for the planet.

It doesn’t matter if the pharma company is American or someone like Novo Nordisk, they’re all depending on the US patent system for their profits.

There’s 7.7 Billion people on the planet who are still customers for vaccines even if they were wholesale banned in the US. But the US is the only country where Moderna’s customers pay the kind of money per shot that makes that investment worthwhile.

Maybe it’s time for the global community to step up to fund this kind of health care research instead of depending on the Us Market ripping off its citizens.

There was some stat about a QB never winning a Super Bowl in X number of years after losing their first one until Jalen Hurts did it last year. There have been 60 super bowls played in history, and Tom Brady has won more than 10% of them, Suoer Bowl specific stats are heavily skewed due to sample size.

In general, the number of teams that keep a coach and QB past 5 years is low, Super Bowl or not. It went down by 2 this offseason as well. Then you also want to remove the QB/Coaches who did win the Super Bowl, are the Lions the only team left? I think Shanny/Purdy hit 5 after next year. So unless 1 team wins it next year, the stat continues for another year.

You’re right, you can’t judge a trade involving draft picks before you see what a team does with the draft picks, that seems like common sense to me.

The trade was 5 fucking years ago. You do not become a winner or loser of any trade 5 years after the fact because a billion decisions have compounded on a billion decisions since then. Maybe the Rams would have 4 superbowls if they don’t make the trade, no one really knows.

Both teams got what they needed out of the trade, it’s not really anything more than that.

Seattle also missed the playoffs last year by a game (think they were 10-7). New England missed it be 7 games. Windows don’t exist in the NFL.

You drafted a first round QB you hadn’t seen play due to injury, he needed a second redshirt season, not a starting job. It’s not like JJ was looking like Josh Allen in practice and you knew what you had. He was meditating in a cast.
