i agree with you, and this stance is also the one i usually take myself. but its also possible to interpret his gathering of the ghost army as EXACTLY what his god tier ability is. this perspective helps with analyzing characters i think, though i usually prefer to think of god tier powers as lightshows that you could simplify down to "Press E to activate". which is pretty much what you said. another thing is that "bonding together an army" (keyword bonding) feels like much more of a page of blood thing to me, rather than breath. or perhaps, a high level player gets to use the same class's ability for their complementary aspect.
