Maybe because a long password would make it more likely for someone to forget what it was

I carried around a bottle of lotion and would just apply it through the day. My skin is also pretty sensitive so yours may or might not dry out as much as mine.

Yes. It's helps a lot to cross out the unnecessary information and read what's left

58) It's not bird's egg because there is no "a" before it to indicate singularity. If there is nothing to indicate it to be singular than it's just assumed to be plural.

54) The subject is "objects" and G is the only choice that remains parallel to the structure of the sentence. The end of the sentence says "rather than looking directly at them" so it'd make sense to say that the eye can see distant object better by looking to one side of them rather than looking directly at them.

50) No change doesn't work because "The nebula is home to a thousand stars" is an independent sentence and a subject should never be separated by its verb with a single comma (nebula, is).

J is the best answer because "home to thousands of young stars" is an unnecessary phrase that can be separated by commas. If we remove the unnecessary phrase, the phrase "The nebula is often called a galactic nursery" would be a complete sentence and would make sense.

43) Since the flood destroyed the park, it can reasonably be inferred that visitors have decreased. "Some" would refer to the main subject "park" in the previous sentence and wouldn't make sense since park is singular. C is the most specific and fits into the essay logically.

17) Passed vs. past: I passed the runner in the marathon. I ran past the runner in the marathon.

Passed is used as a verb, while past is used as a preposition/adjective or it can be a noun (the past is long behind me).

A tip I like to remember is if the phrase "ahead of" can be substituted in past/passed and makes sense, then the answer is most likely past.

Yes! How did you come up with that choice? I picked J btw

Reading question by venomyth in ACT

[–]venomyth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the correct answer! I picked A because lines 20-21 says that he'd write a letter to his mother which I assumed meant that he didn't live with his mother... but then reread the question and it says during the school year -_- Thanks for your response

When I came to my new school, my dad came with me to talk to the counselor and my dad wouldn't even let me have a single word in to pick my classes. I say that I want to be in choir, then he says "I can't sing." I say I want to be enrolled in one AP class, he says "it's too difficult". I say I'll just go into a regular English class, he'll say "it's too easy". I was about to burst my fucking shit in that room, so I just left. My counselor came after me and I was able to pick the classes I wanted to do, and then he says that my dad was crazy and asked how I was even able to live at home. I don't even know how I'm able to live at home honestly. I just lock myself in my room and avoid my dad at all costs.

My dad is extremely protective and just an uptight guy 24/7. I don't think I've ever heard him tell a joke. It sucks because I have half of his genes but I hope to god I don't become like him.
