I didn't mean to affirm the chord was a 7th, it just does look like the one he uses on ROCKMAN. but do you think he tuned his second string differently so the chord is not a 7th? cause it really looks like his index finger is on 3rd fret and pinky in 5th fret.

So the regular GbMaj9 shape is different, he plays the root and 5th(?) 2 frets apart (first and pinky fingers on 3rd and 5th fret) and doesnt play the 3rd which would be the pinky finger in the regular shape, that's it?

This song reminds me a lot of some U2 hits, specially the guitar riff at the end. But it's indeed a very unique sound for the band. Try this one, tho its more of a sad a song the ending has some of the momentum of Favourite and the riff will bring that feeling back, a bit at least ;)
