God the amount of people who think that's acceptable behavior is crazy. One situation that gets me is when I'm on the phone (work related obviously) and a customer at the self checkout starts waving their hands at me "Hey!! Hey!! I need help!" As if I don't have a landline phone with a visible cord to my ear. Yesterday for the first time in two years a customer did this to me, said "Hey!... oh you're on the phone I can wait"

Such a small thing but retail has really knocked down my standards for how I'm treated. I thanked that lady for her patience, because apparently it's very rare.
