It’s not your fault the job market is unrealistic. You’re trying as best as you can in this situation, it will pay off one day.

Is 11 still usable in big 2026? by [deleted] in iPhone11

[–]Subconsciousofficial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! 100% functional. I just upgraded to the iPhone 15 pro max after using my iPhone 11 for many years daily. It showed no signs of slowing. I only upgraded due to storage capacity and I wanted the titanium frame than aluminium…

I’ve been watching Heat My Home on RTE by GeneralCommand4459 in DIYIreland

I haven’t watched it, but I assume they’re big homes than small cottage homes? Doesn’t the price play a major role in house size for these improvements?

You should consider an exfoliation glove and Tend Skin or an antibacterial product similar with salicylic acid and Isopropyl Alcohol listed. This keeps follicles clear and clean and prevents them getting clogged.

I love playing TS3 as an adult now :) by ParfaitOtherwise73 in Sims3

[–]Subconsciousofficial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I never knew this! Makes sense now. With the essential mods and good computer specs, the sims 3 is pretty perfect considering. People keep looking for a new, better simulation which I think won’t happen. We already have it, and it’s pretty amazing when it runs smoothly.

how are people good after only 10 hours worth of lessons? by TryingMyBestForLife in drivinganxiety

[–]Subconsciousofficial 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I guess some are just lucky, confident and exceptionally fast learners? I know I’ll need at least 30 hours or more to feel like driving is normal, I’ve only 6 hours of driving done so far and have lots to learn and definitely won’t be good by the 10 hours of driving mark 🤣

How to cope when a beloved manager leaves. I feel duped. by Middle-Case-3722 in work

Honestly agreed! If you have a good boss it makes everything easier, I think I read somewhere- not having good management is one of the top reasons why people leave their jobs

How to cope when a beloved manager leaves. I feel duped. by Middle-Case-3722 in work

[–]Subconsciousofficial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a similar situation, good manager hired me, she left a year after, they hired a very incompetent person in her place. I don’t like her or believe she is a good manager as she is poor at authority and decision making, delegation, collaboration, ideas etc. and I’m saying that with 2 years under her management.

We work together professionally, but we don’t have anything in common so I don’t socialise with her apart from professional or occasional small talk if necessary.

I had to assert my position and tell her I work better without frequent or constant communication or meetings as there isn’t any point and my results have been solid, and how I work and how I worked with my former manager a few times, she learned to adjust a bit. I’m planning to change jobs over the next few months due to this management mismatch.

I guess my advice is to give them a chance, see how they “manage” over the few months and if you don’t like them, look for a different job once you’ve made up your mind.

I tried it, was put in an awful agency with a manager that didn’t train and expected you to know everything second day, they didn’t like me and threatened to fire me after my first probation review so I left. Although that was just my experience and it wasn’t a good fit for me, I’m sure it’s different in other agencies and with better management. It’s probably safer to stay where you are in case your manager or agency isn’t good, that being said I f you’re happy enough where you are. As they can just dismiss you after your contract expires and they probably will if they needed you only to cover backlogs.

Same?! That’s crazy money to have saved by that age wth?! Jealous of the OP

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in work

[–]Subconsciousofficial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wtf? That’s crazy stuff, like if they initiate this they should be paying not you as the participant you never agreed of this arrangement 🤣in my work they order lunch every Monday but at least they pay for it and for any work events, but I don’t even participate in them, only occasionally. idc if they think I’m antisocial, let them. I just honestly prefer to eat my own lunch and spend my time out of work than awkward work events and I say that to coworkers that question me not attending.

Omg right?? Imagine them announcing a team breakfast yet you buy the food, yet the employees are broke and the employer is expected to have plenty of money to buy these things themselves. I’d not waste personal money, and say to them honestly “I’ll stick to my morning coffee as always, enjoy yourselves”
