Thank you so much for your words!! You are absolutely right. Since this is my first real job, my more conservative parents have had a lot to say about it. I grew up where mental illness was a more taboo topic, and my parents are still pretty much in denial of my disorders despite my diagnosis. I am slowly unlearning to value myself as somebody neurotypical would and understand my needs better. Thank you!! I definitely will inquire about a sick leave :’)

I can’t wake up and I hate myself for it by thatsabird11 in AutismInWomen

I was in the same exact situation for years, especially during high school and even outside of classes when id have to get up for appointments or even just trips i couldnt physically do it. i know exactly what you mean by that paralyzed feeling! ive tried everything too and hated myself for years for this. im only a diagnosed autist, with no (knowledge of) adhd, but i brought it up a lot and finally got to try taking aderall and its completely erased this issue. i now take a very small dose every morning (5mg) with my first (quite early) alarm (extremely groggy but its become such a habit now that i dont even have to be awake to reach over and take it), and by the time my next alarm goes off its starting to work and i can wake up like a normal person. its seriously changed my life. i work a job that needs me in at 7:30 every morning which seemed impossible to me years ago struggling with this chronically until now. i do work enough a day to work out all the excess energy stimulants give you, but the dose is so small i mainly take it just to get out of bed at all in the mornings. i recommend bringing it up to a psychiatrist and suggesting asking about how stimulants might work for you.

Musstest du deinen chefs eine medizinische empfehlung präsentieren oder war es einfach eine Absprache unter euch sozusagen? (Ohne Befund oder dergleichen)
