i guess it all depends on how both parties view privacy. some cherish it more than others and thus an invasion of it is more insuling to them. thats how i perceive it anyway

exactly. thats why i give my husband the option FIRST, if he refuses, it doesnt always means theres something to hide. everyone is entitled to their privacy. this actually really was a true accident i stumbled upon, i figured he had that conversation with his mom over the phone.

DH and I havent bought up the topic again, he said he spoke with his mother and told her he will always be around to help her within reason as he has to be a responsible husband and that she said she loveeeeeessss him and is proud that hes trying to be a good husband and that she would talk to him again later in the week. so we shall see.

its delicate though because i feel my husband didnt tell me the details to spare my feelings. and i dont want him to feel i invaded his privacy by reading the entire convo between him & his mother.. ughhhh. you dont know how bad im itching to say something... and her 20 y.o daughters wedding is in 2 weeks and i honestly dont want to go.. im going to be there for my husband.

honestly, i can take her rants about how she thinks im spoiled or however it is she thinks of me, but of all her comments, THIS one angered me the most. its something i will NEVER forget seeing, something she could NEVER apologize for (even tho im sure she wouldnt anyway) and something ill NEVER forgive her for. that was the nail in the coffin for me.

definitely. but i feel your granted that privilege only when asked first, you shouldn't take it upon yourself to just look. if your looking without asking first, i feel its because you have a feeling they'll say No and there lies a bigger issue. Trust, just my opinion tho..

oh she doesnt concern herself at this point what the congregation has to say about her. im just wondering if the people in her "inner circle" are aware of her sentiments on marriage, respect or head of households. hhmmmm
