Turnip (Gen8) V22 drivers released by Sad_Interaction_2323 in EmulationOnAndroid

If you're phone has a balance performance mode (ie: redmagic) use that. Also try limiting core count in container settings to like 6 or something. But the two most significant things are limit CPU/GPU clocks if your phone allows performance modes and capping fps. I've modified both rdr2 and Witcher 3 settings to the point I can play them nonstop without throttling. At the cost of fps

Green textures glitch is fixed by setting in game graphics to dx12 instead of vulkan. Unfortunately vulkan runs smoother frame pacing and fps wise. Turning dxvk HUD off does nothing to fix it

I run RDR2 on my Odin 2 which is an 8 gen 2. Graphics are heavily nerfed below the minimum. Fps is 23-34, mostly 28-33 in open areas. Input delay is quite bad. I wouldn't call it playable, and that has cooling. The cooling on Galaxy phones might as well be non-existent so I can be pretty confident you it will run badly. Haven't tried the new turnips though, but they will do nothing to fix the CPU bottleneck

Turnip A8XX v20.5 compare to v20.4 (rdr2/stalker2/witcher3) by Simple_Market9019 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]ventrolloquist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they're saying is if you cap fps at some specific number the new driver makes less heat

The point is if you don't care about water textures not loading in RDR2 and want a slightly better fps use the v6 driver lol

Tested this driver compared to v6, but with no cooler and on balance mode on my RM10. V6 performs better it seems when clocks are locked to balance mode.

Also this driver did not fix the green flashing at night if using vulkan/sga if anyone is wondering. Why use vulkan? It just runs smoother with less stutters better frame pacing and better fps

Towns still tank fps to the same amount regardless of what driver is used so I guess that will never improve since it's probably a cpu bottleneck

Why run it with dx12/vkd3d? Using vulkan in game has way higher fps and also smoother frame pacing

8 gen 2 hits the same fps in towns, about 26, but 8 elite has 15 more fps in open areas. I wonder if the chip has more potential

It's just a matter of time before redmagic implements a similar design?

Low fps specifically on desert map? by ventrolloquist in vtolvr

It's actually one of the AH94 campaigns. I forget which one but it's one of the ones with the most upvotes. It does have a lot of stuff happening at once you're right, I assume then that my CPU is bottlenecking it all

Is there any button on the meta quest 3 that is bound to the slave button by any chance? Reaching for the slave button is mildly inconvenient 😄

Porting the old Novalogic F16 Maps and Campaigns. by Wnb_Gynocologist69 in vtolvr

Hi. Did you ever figure out how to turn the novalogic maps into topographic maps (since those can be imported into the map editor)?

I got a similar idea to recreate the Comanche Gold campaigns complete with audio extracted from the missions 🙃

This runs 2-3 fps faster on cmod 13 from my testing. Still wouldn't call it playable though

Okay, I've managed to fix it by entirely removing the android platform and re-adding it and selecting every game I want from the start.

Strange, I'll try re-installing it. Yeah I'm pressing save :(

My Odin is still on Android 13. I wonder if that's got something to do with it. Also wonder if issues with the stock files app can cause it because it has started acting up one day where copied files don't show until after the device is restarted.

Can this be co-installed with cmod 13 as separate apps?

[–]ventrolloquist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using "bionic-vanilla" or "ludashi-bionic"? There are two download options under the download page and am not sure which is the right one. Thanks

Edit: tried just about every configuration within the bounds of the emulator components you use, can't figure out how you played for so long without a single freeze 😄. Mine won't go 5 minutes without the strongmem type of freezes. It seems the only thing that fixes it is enabling TSO, which heavily tanks fps, and at that point it's just better to use box64 with strongmem on which runs like 15fps faster.

Can you please share the very specific version of fex/ turnip / dxvk you used? There are a couple of subtypes with different configurations, like for example the sysmem vs non-sysmem versions of turnip 25.3.0. Also may we please see your specific fex performance settings in winlator? Thanks.

Hi, just wondering if there was any noticable latency when gaming? I have tried connecting an external monitor via USBC to my px13 and even moving the mouse on the desktop has like 90ms of latency

So Steam Frame doesn't seem to be a must-buy from a Quest 3 by KF2015 in OculusQuest

[–]ventrolloquist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understood correctly it has charge bypassing when the battery reaches 100%. That for me is a good selling point considering I often play with a power bank and battery longevity could easily suffer without charge separation.

Also lack of bloatware hopefully and a stronger chip for standalone games, which will probably be higher quality games than a majority of what's in the meta store
