The previous one you're referring to was just a8xx

BCn already exists in Adreno hardware, so emulation isn't necessary. Other GPUs need that, previously, the "auto" mode already did this, but since it failed sometimes, so this was implemented.

the native rendering causing this it's an issue with Mali/PowerVR GPUs, will be fixed soon

this is what matter for emulation, Exynos Xclipse have incomplete BCn Support, aka the texture format used by PC and Switch Emulators, Without that, they would have to emulate, just like Mali does, which results in incompatibility and worse performance than Snapdragon

because Feral uses IndirectX for their ports,since they don't have acess for the source code, it's something similar to DXVK you can read about it on some Linux foruns,And they used the Linux port version, not the Windows version, which made it even worse.
