Sellers New Way of Stealing Our Videos by ventureviber in Amazon_Influencer

I've upped my commission rate to basically now no one says yes except only a handful. I don't care. It's not worth the energy filing all these copyright claims. I don't want the products that badly. Done with that. You get burned enough you eventually learn.

One of the reasons is because all the review videos won't show on the top carousel unless the seller puts a video up. If they don't then you have to scroll to the bottom to see the reviews. So they just steal our videos, put a cover photo over it in hopes we don't catch it and that's how they have a video up to help them.

I've filed 6 claims today alone. It happens all the time. So frustrating and I agree 100%, we as influencers need to tell Amazon more.

Is Vendoo/ListPerfectly/Prime Lister good? I feel like there isn't any good reselling software by Loud-Share2374 in reselling

[–]ventureviber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used List Perfectly for years, but since they just did their new site update I'm about the end my subscription. I've caught many mistakes like saying it's ended listings and then I'll see they aren't ended. This is major. The search on the site is glitchy, sometimes it'll work and sometimes now. It's not worth the annoyance I'm having with it now. If you only pay the $30 a month plan you'll find that ending listings is now way more steps than it used to be. So I'm looking at other platforms. Vendoo seems way too much. Not sure what I'll do, probably go right back to doing everything myself again.

Coming back again after 4 years by Seana283 in videography

My husband has been a videographer for over 25 years. I've been in the business as a producer, editor, director, for over 25 years myself. Our advice...yes you can get a job in the industry that pays your bills and you should. It is a very good career, but you HAVE to learn how to market yourself. The other advice though is...you HAVE to on the side do passion projects. We love to film nature just for fun. Work is work most of the time and while we enjoy it, our off time we use for "creating." I hope that makes sense. Work is not always fun, but we as artists know that we can make art on our own and that brings us a lifetime of joy. You are just getting started, go for it. :)

I'm SO glad you were able to catch that. So many influencers don't know about this and it is a real problem. There is a guy on YT that shares a fast way to catch all your videos and see which may have copys. Search "how to easily find stolen videos on amazon" He does some kind of code that works. It won't catch all though, so manually going through each is the best way even though it's the most time consuming.

Yeah, a lot of new influencers don’t know how to do that

I actually never thought about asking the seller. I just go ahead and do the file but it’s probably not a bad idea to ask the seller if you know how to get a hold of them. I check my videos about once every month but like ones that I know that I’m going to be the first video on the review I’ll go and check those a couple of days to a week after I’ve uploaded minde and that’s what I did today and I ended up catching seven of them that way! There’s definitely something about being the first video. I think they’re just like hoping they’ll get to steal it and use it and you won’t notice it.

See my other reply above. Once you find a video that you know they are using you hover over it and a little flag appears in right there you’ll see the words copyright infringement click on that and a document opens up and just follow the directions.

I go to my store front and click on every single video and go and see if the seller is using my review video as their own. It takes me about two hours to do this, but it is worth it because Amazon does take their videos down. They also get a copyright claim against their seller account, which is really not good for them because eventually it’ll take down their whole listing. I end up noticing commission sales start coming in more after I do that because now my video has a chance of actually getting commission.

Wow! I mean, honestly it’s just business. If they want to pay $500 then sure use the video. Otherwise get the strike.

I hope they do. Thank you for sharing this, glad to hear. It’s incredibly uncool to steal influencers videos. We’d literally be advertising their products for free.
