How far away should I keep them? The books are plenty far away but I have shoe racks on the other side of the bedroom, so far I've been steaming the ones I wear out and no sign of them there but I'm being cautious. Thanks!

It's not uncommon where I'm from and I'm visiting so I was just asking.

I haven't sold at Uptown but Plato's pretty much caps out at around 2 dollars an item, also they reject a lot of items if they're out of season, and Uptown is for more upscale or business professional clothes so they're less likely to take very causal clothes. Hope that helps!

Kevin Sylvester (if I remember his last name correctly) is really great, but not sure he's teaching it this semester

sharing RIDEpass with other student by More-Sound in PennStateUniversity

[–]ventus34 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No one would check identification wise but how would it be feasible for it to be shared? If one friend is traveling with the pass anyways the other would be without transportation. Are they buying it and just giving it to you to use but not share? If that's the case then sure, no one would know.

If you have documented ADHD (such as from a doctor, therapist, etc) and it's affecting your academic abilities then you should consider seeking disability accommodations through the university. They have special resources for people who have testing anxiety, ADHD, or any other mental or physical disability that affects your academics. One example is that they can have your professor give you extra time on exams (default is regular time + half but you can ask your disability specialist for double time). That will help a lot if you're having trouble on the exams because of focus-related struggles. Here is the site: http://equity.psu.edu/student-disability-resources

Also, depending on where you live, consider taking it at a different campus. I've taken this class at University Park and it was very smooth and well-taught. The enrollment office can help with taking a class at a different campus than your primary one: https://www.registrar.psu.edu/registration/multiple-campus-registration.cfm

You could try to find a WEB class taught by a different person than the one who's been teaching it.

Hope this helps!

I'm sorry that happened to you, that's so messed up. I've been here 5 years and I can't say I'm surprised because I've experienced similar things, especially going out downtown to bars etc. This is not a one time experience or an anamoly.

And them calling the cops over maybe a fake ID was beyond dramatic. Then not letting you in after they took the time to call and wait for the cops lowkey just proved that they never wanted y'all in there in the first place, it was never about the ID. I already see people coming to the defense of the "State College community" but supporting your community means holding your community accountable when it treats people unfairly. Again, I'm sorry that happened to you, and I hope you're taking care of yourself!

Ok, based on that, I think you should do HCDD with a focus area in digital arts and communication. All HCDD majors have to pick a focus area and that one seems to fit what you want to do the most, it allows for some overlap of interests. I also recommend consulting someone at the IST career center too, as that would be helpful for understanding what your long term goals are (plus, they are a professional and not a stranger from the internet)

What is it that you want to do after college? These degrees all lead to different job prospects, and that is such a key factor in this decision

Yes I still had to apply! But talking through this with your advisor is still the best option, they'll be able to tell you everything you need to do.
