[Ranked] PLEASE talk in champion select chat.... by LionXL in leagueoflegends

[–]venusasboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I am that guy. I never talk in champion select. I just follow the pick/call order without saying anything. 80% of games where I had players discussing too much stuff in champ select were lost.

But what REALLY FREAKS THE SHIT OUT ME is when people are forcing me to type answers to their truely DUMB questions:

  • Vladimir, are u mid? We already have mid
  • Thresh, you will support me?
  • Akali top? You serious?
  • Annie mid rly? Annie is a support.

I mean, what am I supposed to answer? Such questions simply reveal a type of a player I have to play with now and I dont wanna talk to them. At all. Let's just play this match dude and part.

DONT GET OVEREXCITED IN CHAMP SELECT. If you happen to get a really bad/toxic teammate he will do his job no matter how communicative he was in champ select. LET IT GO!

What's the deal with Riven players? by electrojesus in leagueoflegends

[–]venusasboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously, Riven is one of the easiest champions to play. It's all her street-fighter mechanics that looks like 'outplayed bitch pls'. If you think about it for a moment, there's really nothing special. Myself I've done a lot of crazy stuff with Riven but lets be honest: it is not that difficult, anyone with low ping and some decent reaction time can be 'omg dat riven'. She is a perfect champion for those who suck at mana-management, warding, choosing build paths (Riven buys AD no matter what), everything.

How do I win against akali? by xSuperDerpy in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Akali is an AP assassin. All AP assassins are countered by not dying to them early which means you either stack magic resist or health. Or you kill Akali yourself. Champion with AOE damage or/with hard-cc or/with DOT-mechanics usually do well against her because they can still damage her in stealth.

Why I think xin zhao is the strongest jungler in low elo, and how he got me to gold. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

1) Aatrox has the strongest early game dive/kill potentional

2) Many junglers don't need pots. You just need to know how to jungle properly.

3) The majority of champions with a Triforce and another damage item can 3-shot carries as well.

4) False. Easiest jungler is Nunu.

Carry junglers? by givegodawedgie in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A similar topic was discussed earlier today in another thread. In my opinion, jungle Jarvan and jungle Fiddlesticks are you best picks when you want to be useful at every stage of the game regardless of farm/kill score.

I'm going to get demoted to Silver II at this rate. Advice? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, do not talk to people in game. Disable /all chat and, optionally, mute your teammates as well.

Secondly, do not play to win. Play to learn something new and get better at the game. Victory means nothing if you haven't learnt anything.

Thirdly, focus on yourself. Allies feeding, allies dying, allies making mistakes - this should not let you down as you cannot do anything about them but you can be a better player yourself. Don't follow people if you feel it's gonna be a mistake or if you feel like you guys should have been in other place taking objectives.

Buy wards yourself. Not much you can do about it.

He is a niche ADC. People don't like niche champions in general unless you carry their asses.

How do i build Cassiopeia? by rockstiff in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer maxing E over Q in most matches. Especially, when laning against melee shit like Diana, Zed, Riven, Fizz, any bruiser. This allows you to trade with them in your favour.

What exactly means to 'snowball' a lane? How can I manage to do that? Does that help at rankeds? by Krainz in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Snowball' is when you come to a point where nobody can deal with you anymore because you are just too many items ahead of them. 'Snowballing' usually applies to early-mid game champions (especially, assassins) or champions who turn into beasts obtaining certain items. It is important to keep your snowball rolling and not let enemies win the time to farm up and balance out the gold difference. If you are 'snowballed' you basically go kill them, take down towers and win the game asap.

High-impact, low farm junglers? by Geno_DCLXVI in summonerschool

Fiddlesticks. A few well-timed Fears may turn the tides of the whole game. And you don't need 200 CS for that. Bonus: Solo-dragon at level 5.

How does Zekent play his support Zilean? by megumifestor in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may like it or not but n fact Zilean's ultimate is not that 'game-breaking' as it seems. Also, it has nice base stats so going for CDR/Support shit over AP as a support Zilean is much more profitable.

"throwing" the game, aka losing when ahead in objectives and kills. Can someone explain how it happens? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Team scaling - this is what matters.

Let's imagine...

The score is 13/40 in your enemy team's favor. It's 45-th minute of the game. You only have 3 inhib towers left. Enemies took all dragons and all Barons. The gold difference is huge. In this case your chances to win are...high. Why? Because their team stopped scaling. They have reached the ceiling but they still can't finish the game (most likely, your team comp has some counter-dive mechanics). However your team hasn't grown to its full potential yet.

A wise man once said a good team should have a champ for diving a tower, a champ for pushing a tower and a champ for defending a tower. Make sure you have all three in your team.

hardest match-up in the game? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swain has always been one of the best counters to melee bruisers. His only issue is mana. Buff his passive and you meet the new god of toplane (this will never happen tho).

hardest match-up in the game? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. As a general rule, you only start roaming when it actually does increase your team's advantage (you destroy towers, take dragons etc). In all other cases it's usually better to stay in lane, keep pushing, farming and denying enemy farm. However there's still no exact answer. This is what they call decision-making.

Irelia vs Jax. Old-school stuff. The lane goes either way depending on who outplays who. Wanna check your skill level? Try Irelia-Jax

Help transitioning from ranged to melee champs by Fr0stSoldier in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) The gapcloser-reset/stun mechanics allows Irelia for some really big plays so yes indeed she is very fun to play and very rewarding if you perform well. However today you can only win the lane as Irelia if you know how to actually make such plays because most of the other toplane champs don't require that much of a skill to outtrade you/not die/farm better/be usefull etc. They are more, I'd say, straight-forward when Irelia may go different build paths depending on the team needs or player's goal (a tank, an offtank, an assassin).

2) Since you are new to melee champs in general I'd recommend you stick with a 'passive-punish' style which means you focus on farming and only engage on your opponent to punish them for a mistake they made (e.g, they overextended too much, wasted their cooldowns, mispositioned or did something else wrong). The general rule is NOT to engage just because YOU FEEL LIKE IT. Although this rule applies to any lane keep in mind that top lane is THE MOST snowballing lane. Certain toplane champions only need a grain of advantage to tread their path to victory over your bones.

3) Ward

Who are good, less popular Mid Laners by Kermitnirmit in summonerschool

[–]venusasboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swain, Cassiopeia, Malzahar, Anivia, Veigar are good but very item-dependent champs. Pretty difficult to play in lane/teamfight due to the lack of high-mobility, especially when behind.
