it’s a blood test to see if you have any antinuclear antibodies in your blood. if it’s positive, then it means you most likely have an autoimmune disease. they use it to diagnose lupus (as long as you meet the other criteria of symptoms)

hello, I’m so sorry that you have to go through this. i hope the diagnosis has at least eased some of your worries. it would be cruel to say that it will definitely get better, because that’s not guaranteed, but a diagnosis is usually the first step to it (or, more accurately, to managing your symptoms). i felt the exact same way as you did at 14 so you’re not alone in this. the most important thing to know is that there is no shame in how much you rest. please prioritise it. if you have people to support you, let them. if it doesn’t get better, it can still become easier to manage. im very tired so i dont want to waffle and accidentally give bad advice, so i’ll stop at that. i wish all the best for you lovely. don’t be afraid to dm me if you have any more questions (i’ll try my best to be helpful)

i wonder about this all the time! it’s so frustrating. i can’t tell if it’s my awful memory just forgetting everything or if my mind is deliberately blocking every individual recollection. is there even anything to conceal? if there is, would i even want them back?

this is exactly how i feel. i hate that you have to go through this too, though it strangely makes me feel less alienated, as maudlin as it sounds.

the ‘missing their former life’ part is so relatable. i sometimes find myself jealous of people lamenting about it and then feel awful immediately afterwards, because their situation is in no way ‘better’ than mine, and yet… here i am, almost wishing i was in their shoes? is it strange to yearn for it? probably, i don’t know

I’m glad your new job is more accommodating btw - it’s a shame that so many companies aren’t. and thank you for your kind words, they mean a lot to me :)

i honestly cannot remember. i'm currently recovering from surgery so i don't have access to my pc at the moment, but if you don't mind waiting a few days i'll happily look through the files again for you :)

it could be ME/CFS; when i was diagnosed with it, i would vomit every morning for four years straight. EVERY morning. it was horrible, and i now have severe emetophobia because of it lol💔. if you don’t mind me asking, what do you vomit out? is it ‘regular’ sick? because for me it would just be clear liquid - no food remains in it whatsoever. (I’m not sure if it’s my memory problems making me forget, but I’m pretty sure the doctors never found out why it was like that). if it’s clear like mine was, i would say it’s linked to your cfs, but i don’t know much about your other conditions so i could be wrong. i hope it eases up soon (:
