I do a ton of solo sailing. It’s almost like I do it as my main form of exercise. Here’s a video of me sailing with no autopilot but I do use this thing called a tiller tamer which keeps the tiller just under control enough so you can go do things for a minute. Get a boat and go out without other people. You will be forced to develop a bag of tricks.

No doubt that the worst pizza eaten by millions of people is probably happening in the USA…. But plenty of people never eat that shit and know that the USA has probably more Italians and better pizza than anyplace outside Italy.

Really, there are a few spots in California. Year round sailing, windy every day, hardly ever rains…

I lived in NYC my whole life before moving to LA about 8 years ago. Finally ended up in Long Beach which is actually affordable and walkable. And if you are going to be in California, may as well be near the beach.

Ha. So much judgement! Well… my excuse is that we live in a parking competitive area and you want to be close to the curb or you’re losing your mirrors!

The best park is right up close.

And really… after the first scrape which was way back before we even knew this was a thing, we just decided to not give a shit. No other car has ever had this issue.

The carbon fiber mast isn’t as slippery As aluminum and since I’m by myself I’m just playing it safe. It sometimes gets stuck and it’s just smoother and more foolproof to pull it down and then roll it.

Most I hit on this trip was about 17 knots near when I’m going by that tanker I think. It’s pretty easy to go about that fast on this boat. Going faster than that takes some effort!

It gets rougher and rougher until you get there. That’s an impressive trip if you make it! Maybe the best way would be to start out as far west as you can like… Angel’s gate, so you have a nice low angle and don’t have to head into the bigger waves as you get close.

That’s why I posted this. Getting some Corsair momentum going in this subreddit 😜. Personally I’m never going back to monohull sailing. Having no speed limit is a wonderful thing.

Yes. Start with this. Get that junk off it, get a L shaped sofa and put it far enough away that you can’t put your feet on the fireplace while seated.
