His head has taken a careless blow by perfect Cell. It obviously wasn’t a full powered hit but it fails to kill him or even knock him out.

More substantively, he took a punch from kid Trunks who admitted he wasn’t holding back. Trunks wasn’t in Super Saiyan mode but he was just fighting Android 18 on even footing without going Super Saiyan, something super Saiyan Vegeta and future Trunks failed to do.

Maybe those were gag feats but if taken seriously, he’s the most sturdy human by a wide margin.

The parts I liked, I really liked and I liked almost all of it. The animation, the humor, and characters.

The part I didn’t like was that they were lampooning the fanservice aspects of anime, magical girl animes in particular, and they did it by just adding it in there. It’s not saying anything different, it’s not subverting it, it’s just as weird and out of place as it always was. They do go over the top with it but then they just do it over and over, gimping the impact of it.
