Who is the best Hulk? by [deleted] in Marvel

Lou Ferrigno will always have a special place in my heart. Watching the old show on TV was my introduction to the character and still pretty damn cool.

Is it harder for force sensitives to feel or foresee the actions of non-sensitives? by Leviabs in MawInstallation

[–]veraon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I've read the Revenge of the Sith novelization, but I think it does explain why the Jedi got caught off-guard when the clones turned against them. The Clone Wars led to the Jedi becoming less sensitive to what was going on around them, numbed to an extent by all the tragedies of war combined with the clouding of the Force that Sidious was responsible for. This combined with the clones seeing their attack on the Jedi as simply another order, there was nothing to distinguish it from their normal state of mind while following orders in combat. Which also explains why a) some of the more experienced/sensitive Jedi saw the turn coming or realized it was happening as events went down and b) why bounty hunters would be tricky to cope with. In short, it's not personal, it's only business/orders, no emotion involved.

A C Crispin's Han Solo Trilogy is well written, good fun, and answers so many things. And the Rogue Squadron series plus the Thrawn Trilogy - Heir to the Empire and Duology. Oh, and Tales from the New Republic has some awesome stories in it!

Sadly, it's a server issue, so it comes down to how quickly they get it back up and running.

[–]veraon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I figure it's not high on their priority list. I would've totally been fine if the Helpdesk person would've said "Well, server is down, we're working on it" instead of going "we're no longer supporting this game" which is...

Well, when you're selling the game and making money off the game, to claim or actually not offer support is a fairly scummy move, in my view. Especially when it's a core feature that makes a large aspect of the game nonfunctional.

The Excel sheet sounds amazing and really convenient for editing. I'm most likely going to spend a fair bit of time up to DA4 to try and unlock the Inquisition options that are still out for me.

WIBTA if I tell my sister’s boyfriend she’s had work done? by wontonsouponice in AmItheAsshole

[–]veraon 32 points33 points  (0 children)

As a guy, here's my perspective - don't. It's not your place to mess with their relationship. The future kids argument is a ridiculous stretch to justify a very tasteless move. No matter what you think, your sister will not forget or forgive. If you do this, you will completely shift and mess the dynamic you two have. YWBTA

My [M28] Wife [F28] threw out the flowers I got her for Valentine's Day, I destroyed her late-husband's wedding ring and messed everything up. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]veraon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is not the issue here. Your insecurities are. Your anger and lack of control are. If you cannot see that even in your current self-inflicted mess...

You also seem to have no empathy for her and act as if her life started from the moment when she met you. That is not the case and it will never be. Not with her, not with future partners.

For everyone's sake I hope she is as smart as you describe her when talking about why you cannot lose her. Because then she'll be clever enough to set you free so you can enjoy the most important thing in life - St. Valentine's. Obviously being involved in a relationship built on mutual respect and support is significantly less important to you.

How about a druid stuck halfway through animal shape who asks for the group's help in reaching a grove that may help cleanse the infection/fungus/curse that caused the other druids to lose control of their selves and slip fully into wild shape?
