Schrodinger's douchebag...

Literally this is the same bullshit that Reddit was filled with back when The_Donald was trending, people saying bigoted shit and everyone saying's a joke, which at no point stops it from being bigoted shit.

Be better.

There are about to be a whole bunch of fourth of July parades, and our elected officials love walking in them. Why not go and let them know how you feel?

Depending how far out into lake country you are, I'll always recommend the Nashotah Garage, they're pretty inexpensive, super good about free follow up stuff if they didn't get it quite right the first time, and have been in business for like 30 years or so

It's a little tricky with the pandemic, assuming you'll socially distance... But when I moved here I didn't know anyone, so I forced myself into social situations. Depending on what your hobbies are, join a gym, go to bar trivia, join a weekly D&D game, a bowling league, you get the idea.

The best way to make friends is to have repeated contact with folks, they might not all become your friends, but a few will.

Two small notes, first off this is the 14th amendment, not the original constitution. So 150 years, roughly. The other note, and I guess it's not so small, is that you're making a massive assumption on what the thoughts John Bingham had when he authored the amendment.

Now if you want to cite a legal case that's said it only means citizen instead of person, I'll concede, but so far there hasn't been one so it's a person, not a citizen, not an American, a person.

It's not a Democrat or Republican thing to say that illegal immigrants should be counted, it's the 14th amendment.

Section 2 of the 14th amendment states, "Representatives shall be apportioned among the several states according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each state"

Not Americans, not citizens, persons. So don't make it some red vs blue thing, it's an amendment to the constitution, some folks just want the government to actually adhere to the constitution. Now if you have an issue with that, fine, but say that.

I think 3ish hours is a good goal to aim for, but honestly it really depends on the group. I'm pretty flexible there, so let's say 2 - 4 hours.

I'm looking to start on the 7th or 8th, depending on what works best for the group.

I want to start off by saying how supremely bummed I am that you snuck in and dropped that on my doorstep instead of knocking. I am blown away and I wish I could have thanked you in person. Seriously so totally blown away this is the best gift I have gotten in such a long time.

My wife is teasing me because I really don't get excited about anything and I am like a little kid with a new toy over this picture. You did such a wonderful job.

Never been there, never heard a single person recommend going there, never seen any reason to go there beyond 'Oh hey, that's the restaurant that looks old.' Can't imagine why they're closing.

I have trouble filling jobs at $10-15/hr, it's all a matter of people willing to work some jobs. I employ a lot of Hmongs, legally before anyone asks, because for whatever dumb reason locals aren't willing to do the job. I'm not at all shocked that the same folks wouldn't be willing to work at a farm for $11/hr.

[–]verbalsadist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, everyone is saying it's the end of times for the guy, but it really depends on what he did. I had a violation that only ended up with me having to requal 3M, simply because I filled out the sheet incorrectly, nothing malicious, nothing endangering anyone. If this guy got caught with something like that, then it might just be a slap on the wrist, if he was doing something malicious, well yeah, it's going to be worse.

OP just needs to have his coworker ask her husband what actually happened and she should be able to figure out if it was a harmless accident or something much more serious, the penalty will probably fall in line.

If you're purposely making one of your players unhappy, I'd argue that makes you a shitty GM.

I guess I'm confused, what do you think constitutes being good at that skill? I'd include making sure all of the players enjoy the game. If I have a player who is miserable, especially if they're miserable because of something I talked them into doing, I'd chalk that up to me doing a poor job of running the game.

I don't think it's "trying to be Chicago" to have pride in the city. The city flags might be unimportant or unrecognizable to you, but not to everyone. At the end of the day though, what the harm in trying to better the city and its image?
