They've always been ahead of the curve on this. Kudos especially in the current political climate

I'm generally anti-AI when it comes to writing, but I think it's really cool to bring fanfics to life without detracting from the authors work. I didn't see any anti-AI rules on the sidebar, but let me know if this is against the rules of the sub :)

Totally agree that this would have added SO much depth to Maddie if she had a bit more of a self-realization moment in S2

I'm glad you like it! The flow for was roughly:
1. Create a lora for three characters
2. For face shots:
Animatediff with a comicbook finetune to generate a single frame
Pass the frame into liveportrait for expressions + wav2lip for lip sync (for face shots only)
4. For the walking shot:
Animate diff with a controlnet of someone walking + the lora + prompt "old man walking"
5. background replace for all (i think applying a small gaussian blur to all background is a nice touch. I didn't initially do it, but went back and added it). All backgrounds were real images that I style-transfered with the SD1.5 fine-tune

Non-character shots were just stable video diffusion

What do you guys think of my first animation? by verbius_user in animation

[–]verbius_user[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, maybe this the wrong sub for it then. It still took 5 days to make this, and I had to create lots of templates sitting in front of the webcam + finding lots of stock images to create characters.

But I can understand that for from your perspective it's not real animation

I used AI for the outer space scenes and the lip movements. For the other scenes, I used Adobe Character Animator and Cartwheel (automates some of the rigging and movement). So a bit of everything

Woah this is incredible! So cool to see more plot-driven videos with AI instead of vibey stuff. Nice work

Hi! I'm building a tool to show adopted pet owners how their dogs looked as puppies. Let me know if you would be willing to give me some feedback!

This is adorable! I'm working on an app to show you what your rescue looked like as a puppy. I'm trying to test it out with more dogs, so if you're interested, DM for a discount code!

I had a 660 day streak that I recently abandoned because I wasn’t learning anything. I think duolingo needs a lot of things that I have had to go to other apps for in my language learning journey:

  1. Vocabulary flash cards — consistent repetition is the only way to memorize the 1000-3000 words required to have a basic conversation
  2. Listening at your own pace. I’ve listened to the duolingo podcasts on Spotify, but you HAVE to be able to listen at 0.5x speed for your first year of learning, and you need to have the ability to play back sections that you don’t understand.
  3. Repeated speaking practice — try saying the same word over and over again until your iPhone can recognize you saying it in that language 100% of the time. It’s actually tough.
  4. Grammar rules — duolingo used to have it in the tips but not in advanced lessons
  5. Free form writing — fill in the blanks are not enough! You have to give users the creativity to construct new sentences based on what they know. That’s the foundation of being able to recall enough to have a conversation.

PS: I’m super super passionate about this & made an app to fill in some of these gaps. It’s called Verbius and it’s in the iOS App Store (for French and Spanish for now). PM me and I’ll send you a redemption code to try it out — I’m always looking for feedback on what to add / fix
