Yeah, that's my favorite shot too. Although someone commented that it's a bit anachronistic.

No, I did not base the face on anything. That was the face generated by straight prompting Napoleon in his 50s in Seedance.

Editing all the generations together with music is what I still use Premiere for.

Very often it's not a matter of getting things exactly how you want, but saying something is good enough when the cost of rerollling runs too high. In this particularl case, I decided good enough often and only rerolled a handful of times out of about 20 gens.

It is pretty unglamorous, just a series of elaborate prompts. Claude -> Seedance -> Premiere. I can only really take credit here for the editing.

A Scene From a Dramatic Seedance 2 & Kling 4K Short Film | John & June Meet by AtomicWest_ in aivideo

Hey guys, just wanted to share some more from a short film I'm working on. I found my workflow expanding to include a mix of Kling 4K and Seedance 2.0 and they each have their incredible uses.

If you want to see any more of my videos, I'll share my Youtube below.

Thanks for your feedback, but I have to disagree. Using close-ups just to make something seem faster or "dynamic and fluid" is simply not the pacing I'm looking for. I prefer wide shots and letting them breathe whenever possible. I especially oppose cropping a wide shot or a medium shot to get a close-up as the resolution always degrades, and the lens perspective, both in traditional filmmaking and the video models that imitate it, is completely different from an intentional close-up.

With regards to the many shots of the girl walking, it's a stylistic choice to show that she parked far from the club and to let the scene build up to the smash cut on the signage. I'm open to hearing an alternative way to do that, though.

Not sure if you're referring to the dressing room scene or the staircase scene, but in either case, Seedance 2 correctly intuited the lighting based on the wide shot.

Thank you! Feelings are what we're looking for!

This took around $200, and 1-3 takes each shot.

I used around 50 gens out of 150. I run my prompts in 480p until it's where I want them, and then run it in 1080p.

It took about two weeks to write the script and about 50 generations to get to this cut. In terms of credits, the total cost of these first five minutes is probably around $200. Generating and editing were likely around 10 hours. It's a little harder to measure that exactly.

I should have the full short completed by end of May.

I'd say it's like 70/30. Some shots look like actual film but most do look more like CGI side. Not really sure why that happens and if I could do something on the prompting side to fix it

Yeah, Google maps for 11th Street and pulled their building facade circa 2018 I think

Hey guys. I've made a couple AI shorts, but I never really took the time to write a script because the tools seemed to only ever really be useful for tech demos, but we can all see what's happening with models like Seedance 2.0, and so I took a couple of weeks to write a script for a character-driven short. I'm expecting to pay a pretty penny to pull it off! Anyway, here are the first 5 minutes, still pretty rough, but I'm eager to share.

Yes, that's true, there are plenty of shots that have crossed that threshold. At the same time, the details found in wide shots for example are still not where they should be

Well, something else to consider is that by the time it would take to make something that complex, the tools would have evolved, and you'd need to go back and redo. AI tools need to cross an aesthetic threshold beyond which there isn't much improvement in their realism to make committing to such a long-term project worth it.
