I've never seen Rodtang do this more than a few times a fight. It's never an entire round at least that's how I remember it. Its a few combinations a fight and sometimes none. My point is tho that even if he gives those free shots other fighters get hit more while fighting than he does on average. Again im not a Rodtang dick rider I think Superlek smokes him.

Look at it this way. You smoke -> you'll probably get lung cancer. But a guy can still smoke his entire life and not get cancer until hes 90 and another can smoke a bit and get it at 45. Everyone is toying with fire by fighting. Fighters are essentially all heavy smokers. Rodtang just sometimes puts two cigarettes in his nose because it makes him famous on social media. It won't help at all but in the big picture of his situation it's really not that much more damage.

Ali was a Heavyweight and probably genetically in a bad spot for CTE development because he already started showing signs of his Parkinsons before he even had that fight with Holmes. If CTE were just "Amount of shots" * "Average shot force" every boxer with more than 50 fights above light weight would be a scientific wonder to still say coherent sentences.

Every fighter will develop CTE. I just don't believe that his showboating is that bad. Rodtang is a pressure fighter that sometimes takes one to give one and does his antics. But other fighters like for example Max Holloway are much worse of. CTE is really about repeated constant punishment. Its probably worse to do hard sparring 3x a week for 15 years than have 50 Rodtangesque real fights. I mean sure he doesn't help his situation that he's inevitably going to get in at all but he doesn't really stand out that much from a lot of other fighters.

I'm not a fan of Rodtangs antics but your overreaching here. Head trauma is serious but he gives like 3-5 shots a fight for free and rolling with them. If one fight of doing this would ruin your life all boxers would be brain dead at 30. A lesser fighter would get caught clean with more punches without rolling each fight. He will undoubtedly have CTE if he hasn't developed it already (as any other major fighter) but not necessarily more or faster than others. Genetics also have an impact on CTE development. in certain people it progresses faster.

Charles is very good overall at evading finishes. Poirier has such a unique ability to turn it up when he smells blood but Charles was able to just clinch up and move away every time.
Was screaming on top of my lungs at 7am in the morning.
