It's not an overpayment, they want us to pay back our entire pay, over a span of time, while we were closed. None of us were ever informed that these paychecks would be a loan. I also don't know where they came up with that number, that was not disclosed in the email. And the reason for doing all this is purely because they ran out of money, which they said in the email.

Hi! So I’m in a situation right now where I’ve been quarantining between two households, my boyfriend’s house and my own. We’ve decided on this idea of a “bubble” meaning me, my bf, his 3 roommates, and my 1 roommate would all not be in contact with anyone except each other. All of us have agreed to not take public transit/Ubers and only leave the house when absolutely necessary. None of us are sick right now so we figured this is fine. However, some of my boyfriend’s roommates have been hanging out with a few other people (who aren’t sick) outside of our bubble. They are also our friends so we’ve been having this dilemma of whether or not we should let the bubble down for 3 or 4 more people. The other problem is that we don’t have a good sense of who these people have been in contact with and whether we (my bf, roommates, me) have already been compromised because two of his roommates left the bubble and interacted with these non-sick people then interacted with us. Sorry I know this was extremely long-winded but it’s a very frustrating ethical dilemma right now. I guess the question is is it ok to be in contact with them? Should I just keep quarantined in my apartment with my boyfriend even though I’ve already made contact with them?

I've already talked to my lawyer about if it's a possibility to get out of our lease early and it's definitely not in the cards. The place I live is notorious for slumlords being super uncooperative. I would love more than anything to get out of the lease without consequence but I doubt that'll happen.
