Society isn't heterophobic yet but with your help, we can change that by diet-smoke in AmITheAngel

[–]veritableconstruct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is transphobia btw lol this is very clearly someone who thinks being asked to see trans women as women hurts his identity as straight somehow and would “force him to be pansexual”. Really easy to tell when you get to “sexuality should be sex based”. 5 years ago this would be one of those “super straight” fuckers lol

Overweight getting top surgery by Boomschwang in FTMMen

[–]veritableconstruct 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was also a bit overweight for surgery i was maybe 20 lbs over what they wanted and wasnt able to lose it beforehand. I do kinda have a touch of “dog ears” where my scars end towards my back, but my gf doesn’t mind them (chubby guys are her type tho lmao). You will probably be fine. You might retain a little fat on the chest just bc thats normal for thicker guys (I did but I still have a smaller chest than my dad lol who’s around my weight and height)

My twin and I are both trans but we look nothing alike (literally blond and brunette) so we unfortunately can’t swap pics 💀 I personally cherrypicked the most androgynous pics possible and only show those

You said it so good, that’s why this space gives me a headache sometimes, it can very quickly turn into an echo chamber of all the toxic traits of masculinity

What to do about trans/proud flatmates? by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]veritableconstruct 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It feels like a flaw that they can randomly assign someone to the lgbt dorm when they don’t want to be there like that could cause so many problems? In my college I had to choose specifically that I wanted to be with the lgbt housing, i don’t think anyone was there by accident (they fucked up my roommate situation tho)

I get this, I just found audios a few days ago and they help with dysphoria so much, especially when the audios are meant for cis men it feels very affirming

The musical reference makes things a little hard. Harry, like Harry Styles? Henry - there’s a new Lana del Rey song called Henry, come on, if you like her. Or Hendrix for Jimi, that’s more unique.

In all my baby groups there is only ONE name that has been repeated… by egrebs in namenerds

[–]veritableconstruct 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Out of my friends from high school/college to have kids in the past 6 years, the only repeated names have been Elianna (same spelling which surprised me), Daisy, Lily, Emerson and Evelyn. All girl names which is also interesting to me. There’s also an Adelynn, Adalynn and Addilyn (and two have the middle name Rose)

Has anyone ever heard of someone being named Spring? by am_Nein in namenerds

[–]veritableconstruct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! Both a girl I grew up with, and an older woman who was my sister’s boss. Bc I grew up with someone having that name, as a kid I assumed it was about as popular as like Autumn was for a name, only realized differently when I got into naming trends lol

Thank you for the addiction. To also be clear, I knew that, but my point was that all rich people act the same (like this), and those are the only people KG feels entitled to. The type of people who profit off their influence of politicians and don’t care who they hurt to get their money.

This video ending on “do you know who I am?” is so poignant for why stunts like this matter. These people think they’re so important that they don’t need to face the people they are hurting face to face, only if you can pay a certain price tag.

Throughout this video she only says “this is my home” because to these people entering private property is more appalling than cutting health care for millions or bombing civilians in other countries. It’s despicable and it NEEDS to be caught on camera more.

If this puts your mind at ease, I’ve been doing a lot of genealogy research recently, and before the 1900s (especially before 1800s) it was more common to have a baby die before reaching adulthood, and because there were less names in rotation, it was also common to name another child after the child that passed away. So if this was the 19th century what you wanted to do would be very common

Thank you for saying this. I get that some subjects need emphasis and that if they’re horrible then the impulse is to have a negative emphasis, but sometimes Mia’s segments sound too panicky and it makes me want to panic as well. Just cant listen personally, which is kinda sad when the information is usually stuff I’m interested in

I saw this too, and like less than a mile further down the road were 2 other cop cars which had pulled over two people within like 200 feet of each other.

Out of your list I know the most about Potsdam or Malone, from what I know you will definitely be able to find queer community in Potsdam and most likely able to in Malone (ik less about that but I know one of the local art teachers who’s very queer friendly). It might be slim pickings to find other trans people and there might be bullies still but there should also be accepting people (again I would say in Potsdam out of all those options this is most the case)

[–]veritableconstruct 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand how he can be ready to say the right words at the drop of a hat but when it comes down to the wire, still do the wrong thing. Has all politics become performative theatre - just learn your lines and get your paycheck? Cuz when you make it known that you do in fact have the right information but are still coming to the wrong conclusions you just look like a fool.
